1.
To be fair, I've not actually recorded drums with it yet as my kit lives at church most of the time. My plan was to record as midi. Next upgrade was to buy logic express as I believe it has a better set of drum samples to use. Although you can apparantly record as midi and then send the midi back to the kit and record using the line in f you want the sound off the drum module.

ah right electronic kit, i didn't read that very thoroughly! yeah you can do that i think, makes sense. or you could do a live recording with just the line out off the drum module i think.
Just an FYI for anyone wanting to record drums out there - recently picked up a set of Red5 drum mics (they have an outlet on evilbay and a website) and they are brilliant. Great way of doing it on a budget and for the price you pay you get a hell of alot of bang for your buck (4 snare/tom mics, one kick mic, 2 overheads, clips to attach mics to drums + flightcase for £157 ffs!). Even scarier they sound good too. I'll post samples at some point in the next few weeks Cheers, Ash
2.
Or the guy that said he loved Soundgarden and Nine Inch Nails, but then it turns out he wanted a Motown vibe to everything.
That sounds awesome!
3.
Fortunately it wasn't for me, they were just disusing what to have for dinner!
Tackling the most important issues first eh
4. That's a purrdy little amp you got there , quite interesting too! Any chance of sound clips?
5. Epic amps. 'nuff said
6. Reminds me of that wonderful moment in Spinal Tap!
7. Buyer disappeared, back up for sale guys!
8. Hey guys, Since I got my MTD my Pedulla has fallen by the wayside slightly, simply because the MTD can cover the same Bartolini tone and much more. As a result of this I've been thinking of dropping the Pedulla and getting a 5er with a bit more bite, like maybe a spector. After having a think though, I've thought it'll probably work out cheaper to put EMGs in the pedulla instead. Has anyone done this mod and is this a terrible idea? I love the ballsy tone of EMGs
9.
Those Aguilar DB810s weigh an absolute massive amount though.
Really? How do they compare with the Ampeg? Cos tbh from the little experience I have with them they weren't too difficult to move around. That said over 810s I've seen were horrendous.
10. Yup, lovely amps. Got the pleasure of hearing one of these through an Ampeg 810 at the Koko in London. Laaaaaaaverley. See these getting paired alot with the ampeg 810 come to think of it. Wondering if these bands'll make the switch when the orange 810 comes out?
11. you are very very bad for my bank account.
12.
Oy vey. Sounds like a nightmare! Would this by chance be her first attempt at organising a gig? Please dear God say that it is, because if it's not and she's still that bad, there may be no other option but to shoot her... or just lobotomise her and hand her a guitar.
And christ I thought my company's first gig was messed up because the headliners turned up late. Jeez. I've only just started doing this kind of thing and that was ridiculous. Is she established in your area? Good god. Good call, go to other promoters, you don't need this bollocks. Something that has occured to me though, the best gigs we've played have always been the ones that have been run by people who've worked the gig circuit themselves. Anyone else find this?
13.
Ive been looking at these also Neil, real nice amps. Just got to decide on the weber or matamp for my next amp! Cheers, Robbie.
Can vouch for matamp. Gorgeous stuff... Though i would like to road test one of those webers!
14. Spectors are cropping up everywhere at the moment, awesome basses! And this is an absolute beaut
15. God I remember drooling over that when I bought my MTD from there...pity they went under lovely bass though
16. aaaa! getting so much more butterflies than when I play! This is odd, I never get nervous before gigs
17. Fantastic vid mate! Lovely little thing it is confirmed what I'm gunning for atm
18. Miley Cyrus gig = perfection. Easy as hell basslines, nice tour schedule, pick of any endorsements you want, playing to big amounts of people, comfortable touring facilities...and I get to play the whole gig looking at her from behind :brow: . And I'm young enough for it not to be creepy. Score! Same goes for Kelly Clarkson. Though she's quite a bit older so it wouldn't be an issue anyway.
19. Pics of Spector? Going on tour in a few months and would love to have two for the road
20.
Can't go wrong with a 400+ mate!
True dat. Beastly amp, love it!
21.
"The New M3 packs the saig-power siblings. This new package satisfies all the Tone requirements of discrimme ultra-fast, naturally musical Carbine preamp and TRANS-CLASS™ power as its binating bassists while being truly wallet-friendly."
Couldn't make head or tail of that. And "wallet friendly" my arse. It might end up being wallet friendly for the American market but once the UK distributor has had his mark up and Mesa have done their usual insane UK price hike it's going to be far far far too overpriced. I love Mesa gear but there's a reason I've never bought anything new by them.
22. Thanks mate
23. Yello there, While technically not one of my gigs per se, this is my first foray into the world of putting on gigs and promoting! I did pose some questions about this in a thread somewhere else but now we've sorted all the issues we finally have our first gig! So! Here's the schpeel... *** CAKE? PROMOTIONS OXFORD'S OPENING NIGHT! *** FRIDAY 22ND JANUARY @ JERICHO TAVERN, OXFORD Headline comes from Newbury's finest - Relik (http://www.myspace.com/relikofficial) . They're a good time, Foo Fighters esque rock n roll band. Anthemic radio rock combined with a brilliant live show makes these guys not one to miss out on. Main Support comes from Truck fest favourites Dial F For FRANKENSTEIN (http://www.myspace.com/dialfforfrankenstein). Their explosive post-hardcore rumblings have deservedly generated a big buzz around them, and their live show does nothing but back up the hype. Great stuff. Shattered Dreams (http://www.myspace.com/shattereddreams18) fill the next slot with frontwoman Steph Branch's throaty crooning over a pop punk soundscape. Brings to mind "Animal Boy" era Ramones, really cool band. And finally, opening the show are Not Just Business (http://www.myspace.com/justbusiness10) . Sporting members of local power pop veterans Disclosure and Stereo Asylum, NJB's sugar-coma inducing pop punk makes it's debut at the Tavern. Tickets are £4 for basschat members!
