A truly dire Gorilla practice amp. Just shocking. I borrowed some Laney combo for a practice once that was dreadful as well. None of the controls seemed to do anything, perhaps they were decorative. And it sounded, rubbish.

I'm in no way great at playing bass, but I'd love to be able to play the guitar bloody brilliantly, to the point people turn to jelly when I played (and maybe be able to sing a bit).

Westone Spectrum II. Everything about it was awful, pickups, pots, jack, neck, body, action....wait, the tuning gears were alright but I hated the pointy headstock.

The 12/12/6 looks very tempting. Just wish I had the a bit more money...as usual.

If you want an SKB case apparently there literally loads littered around Afghanistan. More or less the same case is used for grenade launchers or something similar. The cases just get dumped.

I have a bass made of ply and it sustains more so than the solid wood body one have. Never had an issue with it. I think I'd be inclined to remove the pickguard or neck rather than expose a bass to such temperature changes to find out though.
