I firmly believe that should try any bass before buying it. One man's dog is another's goldfish...well, something like that.

I wouldn't touch it with someone else's. I'd want to see it in the 'flesh' as it were before making a decision given the asking price. It just doesn't look right for a 34year old instrument. My 20yr old Squier has more 'ageing on it than that Fender. (ok, that might be down to how it was kept and stored but...)

I don't have to put up with one bunch of flaky egits anymore. The band folded last night, obviously in true flaky style though I got a text message near midnight to tell me what others had decided. What a waste of time that was, nearly 18 months of getting absolutely nowhere. In hindsight I would have been better off...going fishing or something. I really do wonder sometimes if bands and music are really worth the pain in the arse it always turns out to be.

They barely even practice, preferring to spend their time on interweb forums discussing pick guards and strings. I doubt they even play the damned things EDIT: I'm talking about bass players btw. I'm not one anymore...I'm on the fiddle. No I'm not I made that up.

It just gets so tiresome. They endless excuses as to why songs haven't been learnt, lateness for practices, not turning up for practice at all. A band is a commitment, if someone hasn't the time or respect for others don't bother. It seems that a lot of people like the idea of being in a band, when it comes down to the hard work and nitty gritty, then the problems start. I'll stop ranting now

It maybe just me, but could you ask your man if he could move 'Amps and Cabs' in the for sale section to the left slightly? It's currently hovering over where all the topics and replies totals are

Let's just chill, I'm sure Ped and the crew are busily beavering away and not just drinking cups of tea. Just to be a pedant though, General Discussion seems to have a new title of Bass Discussion. Just highlighting it as I seem to remember there be a specific reason for that forum being 'General' Discussion. I'm off for a cup tea.

Using Chrome and a lot of sub headings are missing for me. For example in the the for sale section no amps and cabs sub head and a few others in other forums. Otherwise I'm not sure whether anything else is missing.

Own up. Who broke it?
