I used to have just one bass but now I have one more.

I sometimes venture up to the 11th fret, but mainly keep to the bottom 7. I wouldn't want to be thought of as extravagant in any way you see.

If it weren't for punk most of the bands I listen to wouldn't be around. Punk did what it needed to, give music a kick up the backside. It did it, we moved on.

I shan't show this to the guitarist in the band I'm in. He'll think he's been let off the hook for not tuning his guitar properly for a tune midway through the first set. He's only got to tap a pedal FFS and it does it for him.

I never realised he played bass. I'll have to search out some of his stuff. One would hope he has been more influenced by his father's song writing than his mother's singing

The monitor I was using the other week would get blown apart if you stuck the bass through it. Guitarist said we needed them. What is public transport? Most bands, if not all around here lug everything around with them. If I could get away with it I would ditch the amp. I used to own a Spectrum II, it was dreadful. I sold it to a mate who continually badgers me to take it off his hands. If he gave me a few quid I may be able to find some room for it.

My band had our first gig last saturday. I don't think I've visited the loo so many times within such a short period of time in my life However, I can't remember going or wanting to go after we started. I was talking to a good friend of mine who came to watch us, he's the singer in another band. At the last gig they did at our local boozer, he said the drummer and lead guitarist downed tools and walked off to the loo halfway through the first set. He said he was dumbfounded, 'it was a low point for the band from which they are still recovering'.
