1. My 3 kids trying to re-engineering the floor upstairs
 2.
My Aunt lives in Devon... He fitted her bathroom last year. She said he didn't vacuum the stair carpet afterwards, but because the rest of the job was A1 she chose to let it go. Recommended.
Problem with Chris and plumbing is is that he feels he has to use a different spanner every five minutes. Top job though, apparently.
 3.
But just imagine if Squire's career falters and he has to take dep gigs. Say, with a Barbadian steel band or a Ragtime combo. Without the dots, that would be him finished. So, on balance, if he really wants to get on in this business and be taken seriously, he should learn to read before it's too late.
Quite. Just imagine how foolish he'd look. Heaven forbid if he turned up and a band had a trumpet player.
 4. Well if he'd learnt a bit more theory perhaps he'd have played more than just root notes. Hold on. No I was thinking of Mike Drint who's got that Squire sig bass thingy. Sorry. Carry on.
 5.
Absolutely, although I thought the point of a restraining order was that you moved rather than Chris :-)
I have friends in very low places
 6.
He's moved to Dublin because Marvin followed him around Teignmouth and he felt worried :-)
Have you been reading the around the courts cuttings in the local Teignmouth press
 7.
Seriously?!?! That's so cool. Did you take any pics?
I'm afraid it's entirely false. Sorry, I made it all up. I've only been to Teignmouth once and that was before I'd even heard of Muse. He does have a reputation for being a nice bloke though and he is tall.
 8. I visited Teignmouth last year, as it's not too far off, and bumped into to Chris. I mentioned I dabbled on the bass and he gave me an impromptu tour of his house and his collection of basses. Very nice man indeed. Quite tall though, felt like I was stood in a hole all afternoon.
 9.
Yes! I do! I even had a hot flush about an hour ago, I think that was the mention of Alain Caron though
Find somewhere draughty to sit. That's enough of hijacking this thread, I'm off to do the ironing - men's work and all that
 10.
I seem to have turned into a right miserable f***er lately. I can't think of any music-related threads I've contributed to recently where I've had anything nice to say, apart fom my build diary I must be in a fighting mood at the moment, verbally of course, I hate real fighting
Perhaps you're going through 'the change' . Men do you know, we're just not allowed to talk about it . Do you find yourself asking for the heating to be turned down?
 11.
We are a miserable nation.
You speak for yourself I'm the happiest person I know............what a minute. No that's wrong. I'm the grumpiest person I know. Ignore that back as you were.
 12.
Of course not! I completely agree that he's not a househould name. Actually, if I had to be famous, I'd like to be famous like this - just to people "in the know" or people in my field (e.g. contemporary jazz)
Sorry, my post was slightly tongue in cheek . Although seriously, many of the 'names' in the bass world mentioned on here I'd not heard of before joining - even Jaco, Miller, Clarke, Wooten and so on.... As far as Janick is concerned I think I'll go with what Jakebass posted (minus the bit about him being a Facebook friend and chatting to him online ) And people keep referring to an article that I never read so I can't comment
 13.
Can I still slag off Alain Caron?
You wouldn't be you if you didn't
 14. I've got to be honest, I'd never heard of him before I joined basschat. Does that make me a bad person?
 15. The band I've just go into seems very laid back about things. No one is top dog, everyone is encouraged to bring their ideas in, and if you're not happy with something you just have to say. I'm chuffed to bits, we all seem to get along. With some practice we should have a good laugh when we get out gigging (fingers firmly crossed).
 16.
How is this CD longer than 2 minutes?
It's a double disc Must be just under a minute on each.
 17. The best of Def Leppard? What am I thinking of?
 18. Mates and I wanted to start a band only bass or drums left. Didn't have anywhere to put drums. Never played anything else.
 19. Bring back the brow! Please
 20. Cab, preferably on of these CAB!
 21. Well I'm very naughty and bite mine so I haven't a clue
 22. Yes! Please bring back brow. I miss the little fella
 23. Like it a lot. All the best.
 24. That's damned good stuff mate. Like it a lot.
 25.
Personally I really like the headstocks, compact and do the job they've got to do. I don't like classic Fender headstocks on a bass - way too big for what they do although they too do what they have to do.
Totally agree with you on that one. I only own one bass, it's an SR300. Does the job as far as I'm concerned. I find it really comfortable to play and can get all sorts of sounds out it. And the compact headstock is a very nice design feature - I love it!
