2. I think I've visited this page more than any other today. This is simply torture
3. Pendulla Raptor's Any one of these (apart from the sunburst, could do with some sandpaper)
4. I've become a big fan over the last month, since Max posted this thread. Simply love the start to Goliath on the latest album when the bass comes in. Aggressive and attacking. Can see what you mean about it being a little generic, silddx. I wasn't fully taken when I initially listened to them, but something clicked and was so impressed that I now have both albums. The second album is a more accomplished and rounded album, but Themeta the title track of the first album is a great track. EDIT: Now I've developed a taste for Australian hard rock and metal bands.
5. This is taking too long. Someone go around his house and give him a nudge, I'm on tenterhooks.
6. Hope all went well. We all need an update.
7. To return to the OP, flatties are all very well but I find my playing flounders somewhat when using them!
8. My strings have always sounded best with the amp turned off and the bass safely tucked away in its case. Playing then results in a quiet thump!
9.
Christ, he's going to be feeling sick as a parrot right now
That's it, you make him feel better about it. <sarcasm>
10. I've always had to buy my own, My bassing has been frowned upon.
11. Sounds like he's cooked your cab so IMO he owes you a new cab. It broke down while he was using it it's his responsibility to stump up for the repair or replacement. Had a similar incident many moons ago. I used to leave my amp (a huge warwick combo) at a mates where we used to jam. Went for a jam one afternoon to find some -------- had completely fried it. The lousy piece of excrement who used it refused to admit responsibility and so I had to fork out for a new combo. I wish I'd done what Mr Delvar suggested and p1ssed through his letterbox.
12.
Even better, it's something new for us all to argue about on here. Nice work, Sir.

I don't agree with you.
I disagree with both of you.
13. Spector Drool!
14.
Thank you very much, Alex Just for you and Marvin, my favourite action shot of the Milk Bass.
Call the mods. We can't have topless people on 'ere.
15.
Some Milf (Musicman) id give it all 5 inches and the best 20 seconds of its life...................... (Fretted)
OMG look at them
16. I'm almost as bowled over by the case lining it's wild. Cool bass as well btw. You're a lucky man
17.
GAD? What's that? Gear Acquisition Disorder? Where your GAS gets to the point of being beyond a syndrome and becomes a disorder?
A precise and eloquent description. Is there any treatment?
18. Looks good. Love the look of the Forte.
19. Early ZZ Top. Always dig the Top. Some of that guitar work is sublime and woefully underrated
20. Could be interested, depends on where and when
21.
"Do Gooders"
It's got to be THE most stupid fu@king expression in history. The notion that doing good is somehow the wrong thing to do, what sort of fu@king mindset is that? I know, let's all go 'round being complete sh1ts to each other, that's got to be the way forward. W@NKERS! Rant over. Apologies for any offence that may have been caused.
22.
I'll have a chat with her if you like, I can be very diplomatic.
She's now laughing heartily and still saying no. I'm off to sulk. With regard to political correctness and health and safety they have definitely suffered from urban myth syndrome. PC is quite a simple concept, it's just having respect for people and taking into consideration your actions. With regard to the flag incident in Birmingham it would be interesting to find out the full facts behind it. Usually these decisions seem to be taken by a person of authority who has arbitrarily decided to enforce a decision. Where non England for supporters even asked? Much of what is regarded as Health and Safety law is in actual fact no such thing. More often than not it is how certain individuals have interpreted guidelines. The HSE only ask that employers and employees take sensible common sense precautions.
23.
Pure retro-ness: "Freebird" - Lynnyrd Skynyrd (or however you spell it) BTW their bass player is actually very nifty, something I had nver noticed before
I had a crack at playing 'I ain't the one' a couple of days back. You're right he is quite nifty. I gave up because there were too many licks and I couldn't remember them all and it addled my brain. I want to play alternative and punk now (because I know what I'm doing there)
24.
Does she know it's now at the bargain price of £675, and I'll chuck in the antique fish for free? What's her number?
She's a tough nut to crack when it comes to money is my wife. Even the fish didn't sway it.
