NAFF!

http://www.guitar.co.uk/documents/2669/2669-large.jpg Oooh. I'd have this one though. The Traben Phoenix 5 string. I have no taste. I've got to stop listening to metal.
3.
This, the horns are awesome.
Watched it on NYE brilliant all round.
4. Truly awful. And so young. My condolences to those close to him.
5.
Dude, that's an appalingly defeatist attitude
I must try harder.
6. Mrs Marvin would definitely notice any new acquisition as I've only got one bass and she is fully aware of what it looks like.
7.
This has been posted on here before, but I think it deserves it's own thread. One of these chaps is a font of knowledge on all things Fender. The other is called Leo. Oh, aye.. forgot to mention that one of them is one of BC's own.
" son, if you're gonna make in this game, you're gonna have to get some pens in those pockets of yours"
8. I've been laughing so much through this thread I can't think of a caption. Keep up the good work
9. I play my bass so high now the horn is almost touching my chin!
10.
Nah, can't get that through on expenses any more - just results in awkward questions about the Euro 15 "In room entertainment" charge! Besides which, this is Belgium not Sweden :-) Ps, on a more mundane note, I have been listening this week to an unusual mixture of What's Going On (Marvin Gaye) and Endgame (Megadeth)
You wouldn't want to end up like a former Home Secretary's partner either. And Belgium, the home of .......... indecision. (politics joke regarding consociational democracy, yawn). Interesting mix of music.
11. Excellent idea WoT. That Leo, lucky man. Can we all use it for the tenuous claim to fame thread. "we share internet space with BassDoc, who happened to meet Leo Fender"
12.
The sound of silence Not Simon & Garfunkek, literally. Stuck in a hotel room in boring Brussels, typing on my Blackberry. God I'm bored.
The price of being an international jet setter. Nothing on the goggle box then 'ay. Nudge, nudge, know what I'm saying, say no mooorre. :brow:
13. Damn you broken stereo I have the iPod. Currently listening to Karnivool's second (I think) album Themeta. Title track kicks some behind. Love it, and loving my mid life crisis, listening to what all those hip kids are in to.
14. You may require trauma counselling.
15.
Opinion has it that, for optimal technical delivery, one should hang the bass to match the position it occupies when you're sitting......
That'll be sat in its stand then.
16. Not listening to anything currently because MY BL00DY STEREO HAS GONE ON THE BLINK AGAIN. AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH
17.
some of my videos with fretless bass... IMPRO on FRETLESS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9TyM-TYfJg
Not usually my thing, but I really got into that. Superb.
18. The latest offering from Karnivool - Sound Awake. Bloody love it. Played it at work as soon as I got it (one of the benefits of being a postie you can intercept your own post :brow: ). Everyone in the office hated it, apart from one of me old mates from the punk days. We're embarking on designing some moshing slippers for the older mosher!
19. Warwick have always been my favourite, they are just it for me. Out of the new ones, probably Streamer LX or Streamer Stage 1 or Thumb NT Of course I can't afford them but I may be able to persuade the other half I need a new bass in which case the std Rockbass Corvette would be very acceptable.
20. Have you tried the Fender out?
21. Can they get Wayne to respray it
22.
I'm going old school - Andy Fraser's solo in 'Mr Big' for me, from Free Live.
You beat me to it Thoroughly seconded.
23. I've also gone from plectrum to fingers. Fingers are a lot more versatile in varying tone.
24. Song for a 3 piece, mmmmm. What about Sit Down by James.
25. Saw him at Milton Keynes Bowl in the early 90's supporting ZZ Top. Awesome vocalist. Only just got into Free, have I been missing out over the years! Congratulations
