Just got back into playing again. I'm currently borrowing gear but want to get my own. Looking to buy some sort of practice amp. I can't have anything big due to the size of the house and I need to be able to hide it from the kids ( suffice to say the youngest pair are available to tear down houses if you need anything like that doing). Just wandered if anyone had any suggestions.

Pretty much starting from scratch again myself. Had a jam with a mate who's a drummer and a guitarist he knew, went ok, but i'm as rusty as an old nail. Want to actually learn to play bass this time rather than just thrash out root notes for 5mins, perhaps a few jars may help me!!!!!!!!!

Agree with those who say play with others. It's the best thing you can do. Then combine that with learning scales and all the other 'boring' stuff.

Hi there Just signed up to basschat as it seems to have a lot going on on its pages. Have picked up the only real musical instrument again after a 15 year gap, although when I was 'playing' previous was a bit of a 3 note dud. Currently borrowing a Vintage V4 from a drummer. Must admit struggling a bit on returning to playing. Would welcome any advice or tips.!
