It can take time for a buyer to come along. It took almost a year to sell one of my basses, I did have to drop the price a bit, but it's just a matter of patience sometimes.

Great service, great comms, great cables. I ordered a couple of cables a week or so ago, Dave had them in the post and on the way very quickly. As spongebob says "Why on earth would you buy from anywhere else"

I'm not worried about nut width or fretboard radius, however, profile wise I much prefer a slim profile (depth). I had a Rockbass Corvette a while back. They have a 38mm nut but the neck is like a bass ball bat. I found it horrid and almost unplayable. (there was a long list of things I came to hate about that bass). My hands aren't small but neither are they very flexy so to speak.

Regards cabs painted in TuffCab paint. It may not look 'pretty' however, really it's just makes it look like black box like all other black boxes, which for most of the time we have our backs turned to. My latest cab is covered in the stuff, if it looked crap the wife would have said so. Unlike the well gigged and tolex torn 410 I had until recently, that I would have had to pay someone quite a bit of cash to recover to look decent again, with TuffCab I can buy a pot of it on ebay and 'repair' any blemishes myself. I don't believe the covering actually effects the tone of the cabinet either, although I might be wrong.

All the bods, Vanderkley, Bergantino, Genzler, Barefaced, TKS and there's probably one I've missed, will all have a 2x12 black box (in some cases in other pretty colours) that will satisfy the OPs needs in terms of volume and weight. Which one anyone chooses is entirely a matter of personal taste, tone is an individual thing. How someone sounds is up to them, there's no right or wrong.

All the local festivals have pretty much the same bands, just in a different running order. The slightly larger festivals tend to book big name bands I've never heard of. As a punter they don't interest me. And none of the bands I've been in, as is the case for so many others, have known the right people to get on the bill...it all gets stale and dull after a while.

There are no rules, use as many, or as few, fingers as feels comfortable. If 2 is comfortable, that's all good but if you want to nail the 3 finger thing, excellent. Just to say, Steve Harris only uses 2 fingers, Sheehan however does most definitely use 3.

For the price of 2nd hand MIM Fender Jazz you can get a Sire V7. I always regard Mex Fenders as incredibly expensive for what they are.

If your drummer couldn't be heard [font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif][b][color=#000000][size=4]synthaside [/size][/color][/b][color=#000000][size=4]then your guitarist(s) is simply too loud, insanely loud. [/size][/color][/font] The Rumble 500's are fantastic combos and they are loud. However, if your guitarist is drowning out drummers then the combo on its own might be asking a bit much and you may need an ext cab.

As someone who came back to playing about 7 years ago, Marshall's problem seemed to be they just didn't seem interested. It wasn't gear I even considered buying when I came back to playing. They were, at that time, producing heavy, unreliable and unappealing amps and cabinets. Others were producing more appealing gear at similar or better prices. They suffer from being regarded as a guitar amp manufacturer and to some extent the bass range being an after thought. Even now there seems to be little effort in getting EDEN 'out there'. It's a great brand with a good reputation and you can barely find it in the UK

The age range of my current band is 40 to 43, so quite narrow...that's assuming the drummer is 40, I don't really know how old he is but he looks the same age as the rest of us. Either that or he's had a really hard life There is an assumption amongst many that as soon as you're over, sort of, 35 then you can only be in a covers band. Nothing wrong with being in a covers band, I was in a great one 2 years ago, but if you want to dabble your toe in originals then it becomes more difficult.

I'd send it back for a refund. Once doubt, about the reliability of a piece of equipment, creeps in it's best to send it back and move on.

Carol Kaye, Kim Deal and Tina Weymouth, out of that very short list have definitely had an impact. I don't think Tal Wilkenfield has really been around, or known long enough, to have been able to shape music.
