1.
thinking a little more about this. I don't think anyone has the right to throw someones property about least of all if the owner paid to come and see the band/person etc. Tin hat is getting dusted off as we speak. If no one had bought PF albums all those years ago, he might be playing in the 'Fox and Hound' tonight and pleased that someone turned up with or without a camera.
Buying someone's album doesn't give one the right to be an obnoxious, ignorant, rude plank...as was the case at the Peter Frampton gig. Perhaps Peter Frampton would have been better to take the phone and give it to a person at the side of the stage, however, his reactions seem very understandable given the account given in that the person in the crowd had been repeatedly appealed to to desist.
 2.
More generally, a lot of people seem to have problems living in the moment. Regret about the past is guilt, and apprehension about the future is worry... in fact, both are pointless exercises as there is only 'now'. Man.
That's a bit philosophical for a Thursday...
 3. The Jack Cassidy, if you can get one in your budget.
 4.
I certainly found it very easy to go from a pic to fingers and am pleased to be able to do both. *Smug git*
Do you slap as well?
 5. I've got a Boss GT-6B and it's a lovely bit of kit to have. The fx are very good. I found it particularly useful a few weeks ago when I used a headline bass players rig. I didn't touch his settings, just bypassed his pre amp and just used the power section using the Boss as my pre... worked a treat.
 6. For £100, you just can't go wrong. I want One
 7.
Could be up for this too if I'm not gigging
What about a B&Q car park on the outskirts of Plymouth? Exeter or thereabouts would be ideal.
 8. I can't play with a pick to save my life...I'm absolutely rubbish with a pick.
 9. I've had a few Behringer bits of kit and it's been fine...I quite like them actually, as much as any other. I played through an Behringer Ultrabass head the other week and was really happy with the sound I got.
 10. I now have two black basses. They are cool...I am not
 11. I always regard songs like Dakota as a bit of a break There aren't bass lines I don't like playing, however simple, but there are songs I don't like playing. Unfortunately when the rest of the band want to it'd be a case of continually looking for another band. Democracy sucks
 12.
Wish we could ban them from audiences as well, so fed up of going to gigs and watching a band through a sea of phone screens! just so people can have a low quality, crap sounding video clip to show their mates
I totally agree.
 13.
Hell hath no fury...
...like a bass players scorn
 14. The singer in the band I just left would check her phone between every song during her solo gigs (not the one we did). It's part of the reason I quit. I got fed up with the 'I've got more gigging experience than you so your opinion counts for nothing' attitude...when clearly she was incredibly unprofessional herself. The final straw came when I bluntly said that sets should not be padded out with chit chat and tunning up, as she thought this was acceptable. She didn't take my view point well Phones, ban them at gigs
 15. It's clearly a design to get the 10s at ear level...the 18s just act as a 'stand'.
 16.
I added a second BC212 cab to the setup. The 2X212's sound great with the Fenders I'm playing through them.
That's a great, neat looking rig. I've been toying with the idea of replacing my Ampeg 410 with one BC212. The Ampeg is 4ohm and to be honest I don't really need the amount of volume it can chuck out. I'm just wondering if the 212 would be enough though as I'd only be putting 180w through it max.
 17. It's enough to give you a hernia just looking at it. All those conditions are a complete load of hog wash. I can't see it going anywhere fast... for a whole variety of reasons.
 18. Some of it is incompetence, not only regards know how of mixing but at a more basic level... Some people can't pay unless their part is the loudest bit in the mix. Ultimately hearing other instruments throws them completely.
 19.
Dammit, now I've got TKS GAS!!
Me too. Makes me wish I was in a band again.
 20.
Very affordable too, if my currency conversion is correct... I'm assuming the prices are in Swedish Kroner?
I think you can two, including shipping, for under £600. I could be wrong though
 21.
I put the same effort in whether there is just one person in the audience, or as many as ten.
You old pro you
 22.
Fatal mistake. Some moons ago I went to Catford beer festival on a Thursday evening. As I had an 08:00 start at work the following day I went for the 'sticking to halves' bit. Got in & felt as rough as a badger's rough bits - which made no sense as I'd 'been sensible'. All was explained when I tallied up what I'd drunk - 5 1/2 pints in 1 1/2 hrs.
You binge drinkers are the cause of moral decline in this country. Which was the nicest half?
 23. There's so much scope for jokes about asking people if they'd like to stroke some wood, it doesn't bear thinking about
 24. Radiohead - all of them.... Portishead - Dummy Beatles - Abbey Road Blind Melon - REM - Document Breeders - POD Wille and the Bandits - all of them as well Karnivool - Sound Awake Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon Winery Dogs - Winery Dogs Peter Gabriel - So Probably some others I can't remember
 25.
My services were also recently dispensed of by a band for being "too jazz"
I had to leave a band this week because, apparently, strongly expressing a contrary opinion is unacceptable. I'd rather it had been musical. And for reference, I am 1 on the hair scale. I am a hobbit.
