It's meant for someone who has a fretless bass and wonders how it can be played....like I said : it has nothing to do with me, it might be helpful, who knows. The feedback showed me that it turned out to be handy for others. I don' t need approval, that's not why I play music, I just like the sound of a bass.
I haven't got a fretless I did though thoroughly enjoyed the vid. However, what it has done is given me GAS for a fretless EDIT: loved the little hand wiggle wave thing near the beginning btw
You should be in luck, there are plenty of online dating sites these days. Specifically finding an Amos may reduce your chances a little but I'm sure he's out there somewhere waiting for your call
ooops! I hate this phone.

I've given up on shops to be honest. The nearest one, the stock is woeful bass wise and the service isn't all that tbh, Mansons is an hour away, but there again bass wise I wasn't impressed last time I went there. Actual basses, ok but Amos and cabs, very wanting. That's it. So I shop online.

Avoid shipping anything musical with Myhermes

Given the exclusions list of what isn't covered and what they won't carry there's not a lot left -
I just happen to have had 10's over the last few years. They were the most bang for my buck.

They certainly know their biscuits and what they want from their gear. Finger's crossed, I'll be off to see The Winery Dogs in July...
Could have done with a socket for an iPad or iPod etc
There's a 1/8" aux input, so still feasible to hook up iPads and iPhones via the headphone jack.
This is a sensible post
Sincere apologies, I don't what I was thinking, it won't happen again.

You could sell all your gear, spend a heap load on new stuff and still have the same problem. If the drummer is getting frustrated the only solution is for the guitarists to turn down and learn how to use their eq in a band setting.

Cheers Lozz. They seem ok, but perhaps I'll save up a bit more and get something else.

I know the old MBE had some problems regards bracing (lack of) and no dampening and bits did drop off apparently :/ Anyone got any experiences of these? I'm looking to replace a 410 (on a budget).
I know, the TRXB 504. But I'm (gasp) thinking about a fiver, as my band are writing new material in which the guitarist is playing slide and experimenting with different tunings (yes I know), which means either me having two basses on the go or buying a five-banger. So this year (after many decades) I've gone from being a Fender P man who plays with a pick to playing fingerstyle, considering non Fender-shaped basses and looking at more than the permitted number of strings! I blame Basschat for all of it. Heresy, I tells ya!
What's going on? It's not even mushroom season! EDIT: TRBX 505 TWH. £449. From Thomann
I'm certainly under the impression that I do. Which means nothing, of course. Having watched various YouTube vids and read multiple reviews I now have inexplicable GAS for one of these: Thing is I don't like the shape. In fact I don't like the look of it at all and probably wouldn't get on with the neck - also, it has precisely NO mojo whatsoever and wouldn't really fit in with the sleazy rawk image of my current band. And yes, I'm aware it's a 5-string!! But I really really like the way it sounds (at least in the context of listening to a bass online) and can imagine it working very well for our material, so... does this mean that as I'm prioritising tone over appearance I'm (gulp) ... becoming less shallow?? Also it seems to be something of a bargain and a LOT of bass for the money. Very versatile, too. By all accounts. What to do??
They come in a 4 string version The eq and pickups on these are great, and you've got the option of bypassing the active eq and going passive.

I know the major and minor scale, but not all over the fretboard and I understand the concept of harmonising a scale. That's it. Otherwise it's just trial and error partly as I don't have the time to learn anymore and I can't really be arsed. I don't think I'll ever understand modes though.

Rack. Definitely rack.

I'd not venture near an Ibanez SR300 if I were you. You'll think the neck is a matchstick, it's that skinny

Utter filth! Go put it in the gear porn section right now It's very lovely.
If someone was 'given' the responsibility of legitimising any ricks put on sale, how much would they have to charge for their professional services? Perhaps we could call it the "BassChat added value authenticity certificate". It would get the 'once over' from the experts and a certificate of authenticity could be given; there are templates in Corel draw
What happens when a certain person doesn't believe the certificate of authenticity isn't worth the 'paper' it's written on and starts firing off legal warnings? It's not about what 'we' think, but the actions and reactions of a 3rd party. Could we guarantee that a certain someone wouldn't say 'those certificates are a scam etc etc' ?
The problem remains the same - the amount of aggravation regardless of whether or no it's an original - is not worth it to 'us the forum', it's owners, those who are liable/likely to get screwed by JH & his mega buck solicitors.

I wouldn't be happy to allow Rickenbacker sales on Basschat until RIC acknowledge that they are not legally entitled to block the private sale of other basses that bear a resemblance to theirs. Threatening legal action against the people who run Basschat really disgusted me, since RIC must know that their grounds for doing so are sketchy at best in the EU, and are therefore just using their greater financial resources to initimidate. That's my tuppence worth on the matter anyway.
Spot on.

Can't see why the mods and owners would want to return to emails threatening legal action against the site. The ban on the brand probably makes their lives a lot quieter.
There's more than a grain of truth in this. I use a 2x10 with 300W and never struggle for volume, I've no idea what the Fender sounds like but it should be enough. The problem may be the guitarists, you only need to match the drummer who of course can't turn up. If you match the drums and can't hear then no-one can hear the drums either and you will sound poor whatever you do. Turn down the guitar amps and the band will sound like a band. The other problem may be where the bass amp is pointing. Bass goes everywhere but the mids and tops from you cab are what you need to pick yourself out from the mix, move the cab or yourself so it points at your ears.
Very much this. I used to have a Rumble 210 350w and it very much held its own in a band. Our drummer was pretty clueless regards volume and it kept up with him. I never had it at more than half volume. They're good loud combos with a good tone. If you're needing to go through the PA and the PA won't handle it, you need a different PA.
-
Using a Fender Rumble 350w 2x10 combo. No option for ext cab and PA won't handle the DI. Would an active sub sound ok from my DI?
Why won't the PA handle the DI? I used to DI my rumble into a desk with no issues

Thanks. However I've used a couple of you tube clips to sort figure out the bits that were causing me some grief. Thanks again.

Has anyone possibly got dots for this tune? Please and thank you.
