Agreed, they are pretty special. The large pole pieces suggest they are aggressive but I find they have an almost "produced" sound to them compared to normal jazz pickups. Very nice.

Next on the block is my USA Spector Shorty. This bass is my first dabble into the world of short scale, and what an introduction it is. The build quality is on another level to most and combined with the top drawer woods, electronics and hardware, it really does make for an outstanding instrument. I bought this after suffering a shoulder injury and found it's compact dimensions and ultra light weight (7.5lb) allowed me to continue gigging with ease. It's in excellent condition and comes with a proper Spector flight case. Note: The hardware appears scratched/damaged in the photos, it's just reflections from the room. It's minty fresh. This is a lovely 70's style Jazz hand made by Windmill. It features a 6 bolt maple neck with a lovely rosewood fretboard, pearl blocks and white binding, lightweight body, Schaller tuners, high mass bridge and a pair of awesome Haeussel JB MM4 Pickups. It weighs just 3.8kg/8.3lb and comes with a Windmill gig bag. It was used extensively by its previous owner so expect the odd bit of mojo, but it's in good condition overall. Collection from Margate or I can post if required.

Fender USA Flea bass up for grabs. This bass has been played at home for a few hours only and is in immaculate, as-new condition. It includes the Fender vintage style flightcase, tools, case candy, hang tags, certificate etc. It's a beautifully made instrument in a fantastic finish, and it sounds great! The Aguilar preamp and custom Fender humbucker pair together to produce, to my ear, a slightly less aggressive Stingray tone. Lovely. £995 collected from Margate. I still have the Fender shipping box so postage is possible at cost.
