  1. Thanks for the endorsement, mate. I have to agree, they are very special cabs..
  2. Can it be true, that I hold in my mortal hands, a nugget of purest pre-nubbin SB1!?
  3. I'm offering up my lovely Trickfish TF112 as my Markbass cab isn't shifting 😔 This is a beautifully made (in the USA), beautifully designed and lightweight (36lbs) cab that has enough punch and volume to compete with a live band. It also sounds incredible, which is nice. It's in fantastic, nearly-new condition. Cab is located in Margate. I have the original packaging if postage is required.
  4. Sure, I make it 43mm. Feels narrower to me somehow, probably down to the played-in vibe.
  5. That's understandable 🤯 The SB1 weighs 4.2kg.
  6. Absolutely gorgeous G&L SB1 in genuine 'Road worn' condition. No belt sanders were used in the creation of this bass! In my oppinion this is the ultimate vintage P style bass, it was after all Leo's final go at perfecting the 'Precision' template. The neck is dated August 1987, the body Jul '87. I had the input jack replaced with a Switchcraft unit and the tone pot replaced with a vintage spec CTS, as both originals had become a little cranky. Other than that it's all original. It has the wonderful played-in feel of a vintage instrument that has been played for 1000s of hours, and is a real joy to use. The frets are in fantastic condition, the truss rod works perfectly and it's currently strung with some chunky flats. I'm after £795 collected from Margate, and can include a plush leather Warwick gig bag. If postage is required, I can include a hard case instead.
  7. I've just rediscovered this. If anyone wants it and can collect, it's free??
  8. Sure, it has three independent volume controls (neck pickup, bridge pickup, piezo) and stacked bass and treble controls. The great thing with the preamp is that you can increase/reduce the volume of each individual pickup and the overall volume stays consistent. This is really useful for getting the tone in your head *just* right.
  9. Ideally after a straight sale but might consider trades.
  10. Placing my Spector Euro Doug Wimbish Signature up for sale as my Washburn Stu Hamm hasn't yet sold. This will be withdrawn if the Washburn goes first. This is a stunning bass that has the bonus (IMO) of the Wimbish spec jazz width nut. It really makes whizzing around the neck a breeze. It's in fantastic condition but does have two small lacquer cracks on the rear. These were present from new. It comes with a Spector gig bag or an old flight case if postage is required. Better pics to be added ASAP.
  11. Just collected the Washburn after a full professional set up. The nut has been cut slightly lower to enable an ultra low action without buzz if that's your thing.
  12. An example of how the bass sounds in the mix 👌🏻
  13. May trade for a guitar, acoustic or electric 🤔
  14. A hell of a lot of bass for the money, minty fresh condition too.
  15. Using the trusted method of holding a ruler against the neck and squinting, I make it 20mm deep at the 1st fret and 23mm at the 7th. It's 41mm wide which I find to be a great balance between P and J profiles 😎 It's just been set up with a set of Dunlop Marcus Miller signature strings and it sounds epic!
  16. Yes that's the one, the 'N' stands for natural fininsh which was the most expensive option according to the Guitarist review.
  17. Sold my PJB head to Steve recently and it was a pleasure. Hope you enjoy it mate 👍🏻
