    A great handmade German Sandberg weighing in at a ludicrous 7.6lb/3.45kg. It’s finished in a glorious high gloss black with optional matching headstock, Rosewood fret board and all black hardware. It’s in excellent condition and comes with the Sandberg gig bag and tools. To achieve a classic P sound, the 2 band preamp can be defeated by pulling out the volume control, which then allows the treble pot to be used as a traditional tone control. In active mode it can go from zingy slap to shake-your-teeth-out dub and everything in between. I’m after £875, bass is located in Margate.

    That’s interesting, I had a similar experience when I ran a couple of one10’s, although it was less complementary. ‘Turn it up’, ‘where’s your high end gone?’ I thought it was loud enough but I couldn’t get a sound I was happy with.

    Bergantino HD112 in great condition with original padded Bergantino cover. This is a fantastic cab, I’m only selling due to owning two Berg cabs and only really *needing* one. This is an ultra compact 1x12 that has an incredible output for something so small, and unlike some modern 112 cabs, it actually sounds like a bass amp! Mr Bergantino does it right.     Is anyone able to comment on whether or not the neck is quarter sawn? I’ve played a few of the new Pro series basses, non of which had a neck like this?...

    Fender American Professional Jazz Bass in immaculate condition (film still on the pick guard). The upgrades Fender have added to the new Pro Jazz have really taken it up a notch, this really is a fantastic instrument. It appears to have a quarter sawn neck (correct me if I'm wrong) with a fantastic smooth finish that makes darting up and down the neck a breeze. I've read reports of the new V Mod pickups having a low output, but this bass has an output equal to my active Moon! It has a fat bridge pickup sound and perfect Jazz slap sound. *SOLD*

    Due to he combination of too many basses, not enough time to play them and my '83 Precision and Alpher not selling, I'm having to offer up my Wak Mk1, AKA the King of basses, The Don, El Hefe. It's a stunning bass with the original case in fantastic condition, the electronics work perfectly and it sounds unbelievable. it weighs 4.5kg and is an absolute dream to play.     I bought this recently as I needed a compact amp for some dep gigs. It's a great little combo and is extremely compact and yet easily keeps up with a live band. It has a huge amount of features which you can learn more about here - http://www.laney.co.uk/products/nexus-sls-112/ I particularly like the valve preamp, it sounds thick and warm which is quite usual in my 'class D' experience. The headphone amp also sounds great, so much better than the iPhone interfaces I've been using. It's IO is pretty much unparalleled on any bass amp I've seen, and it looks classy as hell. What's not to love 😎 I'm in Margate, pics to follow (it's immaculate).
