I'm letting my Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 go as I seem to be stockpiling amps at the moment. I bought it brand new a couple of months ago, and as such it is in absolutely mint condition, with all original packaging, manuals, gumpf etc. Everyone knows how awesome these are, properly fat tone with next to no weight. *SOLD*
Sounds good, thinking about an Aguilar Tonehammer 500 with one of these - any opinions?
I'm currently using a TH500 with two TKS 112's. They sound amazing, real old school weighty tone with bugger all old school weight. I have a tweeter so I can get a zingy slap sound, but tend to go for a more punchy/fat tone these days, which this combo dishes out in spades. It proves that you don't have to put up with a mediocre tone in order to have light weight gear. Job done.

Swell B-Peg - Twin Channel Valve Overdrive *SOLD*
jay-syncro replied to jay-syncro's topic in Effects For Sale
Here's a link to a slightly odd review with some less than great soundclips. It does however show the actual finish of this pedal. Pics still to come. http://www.premierguitar.com/articles/Swell_B_Peg_V3_Bass_Overdrive_Pedal_Review I'm after an acoustic or electric guitar at the moment so will entertain trades. What have you got?? -

An amazing, rare, all valve pedal with two channels and independent gain stages. I Purchased it for a project that has since folded, but used it to turn my solid state head into a vintage sounding valve amp, with the ability to have a low gain channel (which i had on all the time), and a high gain channel (for a volume boost/more distorted tone etc.). More info here: http://www.worldmusicnashville.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=161&category_id=44&flypage=flypage.pbv.v5.tpl&page=shop.product_details&product_id=1591&vmcchk=1&Itemid=161 It is in excellent condition, and comes with a high quality 240V to 12VAC power supply. It's blue, not gaudy pink as shown in the link! Pictures to follow this evening

I played through an SVT/8x10 at Guilfest a few years ago with a reggae band. We had a quick sound check on stage and I thought it sounded awful. Really distorted with hardly any low end at all. One of the roadies suggested I turn the amp down and let the monitors/PA do the work. As soon as the monitors and FOH were running, it sounded incredible. Mic'ed up SVT at low volume + 10k PA is now my rig of choice

ATS LBA-5 MKII in excellent condition. I bought the amp primarily as it offers two channels that can be used at the same time. This allows me to use Channel 1 (and all the on board EQ) for my bass, and my Mrs to use Channel 2 (direct feed, no EQ) for her keyboard. It works fantastically well for this, but as my band now uses monitors, we no longer rely on backline for monitoring. The LBA-5 is a seriously punchy head that provides a thick (thick? I hate describing sound) and creamy tone (unlike many other Class D heads I've used), despite not having a valve in the preamp. I believe this is down to some MOSFET trickery - as described here: http://www.atsitaly.it/it/prodotti/amplificatori-per-basso/lba-5-mk-iii.html The bass pot is slightly noisy when rotated, but this isn't a problem as when it's set, it stays put. I'm after £475 for the head, and may be persuaded into parting with the excellent (waterproof and probably bombproof) Peli 1500 Case I've been using to cart it around. I purchased this cab recently on a whim, and although it's awesome, I'm going to move it on for the same bargain price that I paid for it. I've used it live a couple of times and it really is thunderous. Here's the link to the description from barefaced: http://barefacedbass.com/product-range/Big-Baby.htm It's in very good condition, but does have the common Barefaced issue with the handle. It's perfectly functional, but the rubber covering of the metal internals is coming away slightly. It also comes with a Roqsolid cover for added protection. I'm in Margate, Kent and would prefer collection although can post if necessary. I've decided to reduce my bass gear down to the bare essentials, and so am offering up my Epifani UL3 210. It's an excellent cab and has handled everything from practice at home, loud(ish) rehearsals to full on gigs with a 5 piece band. It's 8ohm, 500w RMS (1000w peak!), 20kg (easy one hand lift) and sounds fantastic. I'd love to keep it, but space constraints mean I really need to cut down! Here's the link to the Epifani site - http://www.epifani.c...cts/UL3_210.php I'm located in Margate, Kent. Markbass Momark 800 head with T1M valve preamp (with mute switch), 42S 4 band parametric EQ and MVV master section. This head is in excellent condition and sounds fantastic. It has a huge amount of headroom (800w @ 4 ohms, 500w @ 8ohms), and a full, warm valvey sound. I’ve had the head for around 18 months, and it has had mainly home use and a few rehearsals in that time. I’ve switched to a two channel head as it allows my Mrs to plug her Korg SV1 into my amp for monitoring on stage. As shown in the pictures, all the original packaging, manuals/bumph, rack ears, kettle lead and module boxes are included. I’m located in Margate but can post if necessary. I may consider a trade with a cab/pair of cabs. Let me know what you've got
