Hey all Up for sale is my well looked after Genz Benz Streamliner 900. In good working order, apart from the LEDs only lighting up intermittently. I haven't got around to PM'ing AgedHorse over on Talkbass to get free replacements, though I know he does offer them and will get you sorted if desired. I'm mainly using my TecAmp Puma these days and need the funds for more gear...lol The case is included. Great way to transport it around and keep it safe. Happy to ship it in the UK inclusive in the £450 price. For Europe or overseas, get in touch so I can sort out a quote for you and we can talk. Edit: PRICE DROP -[s] £400 shipped in UK[/s]. SOLD Original specs at http://www.genzbenz....sid=675&cid=95#, but essentially 500W at 8 ohms and 900W at 4 ohms. I have no reason to doubt this from using it with a variety of cabs, from Vanderkley 112MNT, Barefaced Big Baby 2, and Bergantino CN112s. Plenty loud and warm. Pics attached below. I sold Rudy my IP112ER a while back. The transaction was straightforward, with good and clear communications and a good spirit of cooperation across the international borders, which did present some challenges re: delivery. Would be very happy to deal with again.

No problems here. I have a Puma 900. What do you have?
I am waiting for the HG310 to appear over here before taking a trip down to Bass Direct.
That would potentially be a great cab for you, I think....TB user Munjibunga already posting good stuff about it.
I had a pair of HD112 and a pair of CN112. I much preferred the CN so I've still got them. They sit wonderfully in a full band mix and never get boomy no matter how sh*te the room is. If a venue genuinely needs more low end, the PA can do it from the DI.
+1. I never gelled with the HD112. Heavier and just not my tone. The IP112ER I had was amazing, but heavy. Hence at least some interest in the DSP of the B Amp...

I've read the Talkbass hyperbole...anyone actually tried it out over here yet? £1150 at Bass Direct...cheap at twice the price...

Just brought my gear back in from the car (it lives there a lot of the time for gigs, my bad, I know) and plugged in my CN112 into the Tecamp Puma 900. Yep, sounds as good here as it does out on the gig. Just beautiful with my Modulus Q5. When I plug in the second CN112 it just gets better. Not sure I see a need to change the cabs for HDNs. Doesn't stop me wanting to try out the new HDNs though, just for giggles, as well as TKS 112s, Vanderkley 112s, the Baer 112s, the Barefaced Retro 210....lol....GAS never ends. Did I forget to mention the AER Amp One or AMP Three for small jazz gigs/ease of carry...lol... I'd really like to know if the new B | Amp beats my Puma, with its fancy DSP trickery. £1150 is by far the highest cost for a class D head that I have heard of....
I fully expect the price in dollars to be the same number in sterling.
Me too. I suspect they will hit the > £1000 mark (maybe around £1200?), and correspondingly do poorly against the competing Fender models. Just IMO, though

Modulus, Zon, and Pedulla all do 5 string basses with 17.5mm spacing. Pricey though... Peavey USA did great basses with 17.5mm spacing and narrowish nuts - GV bass, Millennium 5 bass, and the Cirrus 5. All can be obtained secondhand. Or you can get the cheaper Grind BXP, Millennium BXP.

I like the look of both Cutlass P and Caprice. I think there is a niche for a well made EBMM P bass/PJ Bass, if aimed at the right price segment...The hardware and necks look good from the descriptions (P bass nut width and C profile on the CUtass; Sterling neck profile and Jazz nut width on the Caprice), both are alder bodies; big +1 there. I like 21 frets on both; I always felt 20 frets was just a little short sighted. I like the headstocks. EBMM QC is excellent. The pickguards aren't quite right, the the Caprice body shape is a little funky, but if the price is good... These could do well, if priced correctly. Under the £1000 mark is IMO ok; over that and I'd probably pick a Fender. Pete NB I do notice the Caprice upper horn goes just to 12th fret and it has an undersized body...might give a balance issue for some, esp as headstock larger compared to usual EBMM basses. Fender got it right with getting the upper horn strap button to sitting in between 12th and 11th frets. Just IMO...

It might well be the same then. This bass has rather a lot of Birdseye figuring...great bass.

Thanks mate. The Celinder I picked up from Bass Gear a few years back; I think it was Barrie's at some point? Great recording bass, anyway. A keeper.

Hey all Finally got around to one of my New Years resolutions and started uploading some content to YouTube. I've done a bass cover of 'Never Too Much' by Luther Vandross. I'd appreciate anyone happy enough to head over and give me a little feedback. Thanks muchly. https://youtu.be/K8bir0rkH_w (Remember to pick 1080p for best quality...) Pete

I'm with ambient on this. What you outline is reasonable enough, but a guide of some sort is really helpful, and will make your learning process much faster. I think you should try and find a teacher with whom you can do irregular lessons. I do mine on-line with Joe Hubbard. Face to face is better if you can get it though. I speak as someone who was self taught for many years, then decided to do it properly with lessons, then went to music school for a couple of years, then back to being self taught/transcribing with intermittent online lessons. School and proper teaching really did make a big difference. Good luck Pete
