i kinda like her also. Again as many have said, pop music dont usually float my boat but she is one that stands above most of it as her talent speaks for itself when she is on stage. Crakin set of lungs!!! ooh er. And she is fit! Also, that drummer!!!! He was slamming the groove down in that tune. For me having a drummer like that who really commands the rhythm brings pop music to a different level when being played live because you dont really notice it when on the radio etc. Good work that man.

You could try disabling 3G next time you are around your gear and see what that does. An old band mate used to have the same problem with an old phone of his (samsung I think) and that stopped when he changed it so my guess it's the brand of mobile rather than network. I am gonna miss some gadgets on mine for sure but as a phone (on vodafone) it's sh*te.

iphones are terrible for signal interference, it may be that. If i go anywhere near an amp or have mine plugged into my car stereo it screams that nasty noise every time it changes signal strength. Never ever used to have a problem with that before having an iphone (on vodafone). I could be wrong, but this is just my experience with it. Luckily i'm getting rid of mine tomorrow so hopefully should not have that problem again.

I had finally had enough of lugging my old Ampeg 410HLF and the Trace V4 in its flight case to every gig and rehearsal as it was just BIG and some times not needed at all. I borrowed a V-Type 4x8 combo off a friend for a rehearsal as i needed to travel to Preston from Stoke on Trent and i didnt want to lug all the big stuff all the way up there. These things are pretty tiny and i didnt really know what to expect. Fired it up along with the Sansamp and the thing was rockin!! Proper great sound and that triggered me posting a thread about maybe moving away from the big stuff. Fast forward a few months and i have managed to prize the 4808 off my friend for some cash and i have just purchased a 1153 15" off here which shall be arriving on Tuesday. So now i have a multi purpose mini rig that packs a punch. I have modded the combo by chopping off the jack plug that runs off the speaker lead into the amp and fitting an inline jack socket so it can be used as a cab as well as the combo. I can now use the combo / with 1153 or any of the boxes along with the V4 for when i want to use that. 5 rigs in 1!! well happy. Shall post some pics up when i have it all together on Wednesday. Getting quite excited by it all now and it all fits in the boot of my car. Brilliant.

WITHDRAWN - Trace Elliot V8 Amp
they're indeed rare and high quality amplifiers, but i do think it's a little overpriced if you don't mind me saying. at the moment there's a V4 for sale here in Belgium for just 1400Euro's and i know a V8 for sale in The Netherlands for 1600Euro's wich is less than half of what you're asking... I wish you all the luck with the sale but with that price and in this economical climate it could take ages before you find a potential buyer.. ps: i'm not trying to ruin you're for sale threat here, just trying to help out with some info, hope you don't mind. kind regards
You should really keep things like that to private message. It's not fair to blast what someone wants to sell this for, it's the OP's choice. -
There's a dude halfway through the thread about to do a month round Europe! Thirty days of no-pants rocking out is going to be some serious chafing!
Oooh! I couldnt do a month without the pants. thats just tooo much! lol.

man its 4 dates, if it were longer than a week then i would suggest and agree with most of the sensible options here. But i would personally just get drunk and eat lots of dirty food for that amount of time and stay that way until you come home! With no pants on But if you want a sensible answer, i bought a little gadget called a Power Monkey, absolute live saver for charging phones and you can get some that charge ipods, laptops etc etc. Well worth paying for! But yes my proper answer is a LARGE amount of booze! Dont forget to pack your ego! lol

WITHDRAWN - Trace Elliot V8 Amp
longtimefred replied to hiram.k.hackenbacker's topic in Amps and Cabs For Sale
THE Holy Grail of bass amps! I personally would never sell this, i got offered a swap once for one of these for my V4 but i declined as i cant see mine go out the door as are even more rare than the Mighty V8. As far as i know, and this comes from a source of a friend who worked at TE, they only ever made 53 of these. Dont shoot me if i am wrong, thats just the info i know of. Also i was told they only ever made 15 of the V4 that i have. I wouldnt flog mine if it sat there collecting dust, its just too damn good! haha. I hope you either manage to sell it and let someone else feel the glory, or you have a change of heart and keep it. Good luck dude. -

Re-Covering An Ampeg 8x10. Help please!
longtimefred replied to son of frog's topic in Amps and Cabs
Personally I would try and find a better, tougher tolex than the ampeg stuff as it's crap! Lol. I just sold my 410hlf and the quality of the tolex was rubbish in my opinion! Should be much better for what you pay for these things and mine was a USA one. I had an old trace 810 that I toured with for years and dragged around Europe and the tolex never budged or ripped. The ampeg would unstick at the seams and peel away from even pulling it out the car. -

Loving this thread and all the sandberg love going around. To praise them again, i sold my Ray5 for mine and it's the best move I made. I want another PM4 or whatever they are called now, but in Matt White with black plate! Mmmmm -

Sandbergs - Tell me about them please - Cali JM4 / PM4

get one bought mate! i fooking love mine. Cant really see me moving on to anything else in a long long time if at all. I had mine made at the factory as a custom order with different pickups as i didnt like the delano stuff. I had Haussel pickups fitted as they are a bit more old school style. The sound the thing pumps out is just great, i have been recording with different basses for a good amount of time now and i have just come out the studio with my PM4 and its the happiest i have been with tone and comfort. The thing just inspires me to play! The switch between active and passive is mint, hardly any drop in volume and is much more usable on stage than other passive/active basses i have used. You wont be dissapointed. -
