1. Corner of the studio? Nah... I think that would look great burning in a large camp fire. (Did this help with your GAS? ;-) )
2. This certaily doesn't look like the right order of body woods: Maple/Walnut/Alder/Walnut/Maple ... It's more likely W/M/A/M/W. And it's hot!
3. Wow, this is nice! Unfortunately way out of my budget...
4.
I like this: "The electrics were pretty much rubbish and on their way out so I installed a custom 50's style hand made harness using Genuine CTS pots, Genuine Fender Vintage cloth Wiring and a Genuine Jumbo Sprague orange capacitor. These upgrades alone are worth over £100"
Yeah, it's worth well over that! Just look how precise the wiring was done!
5. I believe these were made in the same factory as Euro Spectors here in Czech Republic. The quality is indisputable.
6. Unfortunately I missed the one. Price was quite nice - it shouldn't have been over 350 pounds including delivery and VAT. My bad.
7. Hello. I've just laid my eyes on very nice Peavey G-Bass (GBass, G Bass or whatever spelling is) on advertising web. I like unusual basses, but I've never had opportunity to play this particular one. Does anyone have any experience with those basses? How does that graphite neck feel? The pickup position and type indicates it might sound similar to Musicman, but that's just my estimation. Also what is "normal" price to be paid? There are very few of them I could find for sale... Thanks for any help you can provide.
8.
Looks like his bass has exploded. In a welter of bull$hit. J.
9. Can anyone tell if this is German or newer Asian one?
10. Bass is sold, sorry guys!
11. There aren't very many G&L's with flame tops... Nice one!
12. Heya, sorry I didn'T write here. The whole bass is on hold again. Hopefully it's more serious buyer this time.
13. This Vivian eats standard MIA Fenders for breakfast and Kubs is really nice guy. I can vouch for him!
14. Wow, just wow...
15. New prices: Body - £200 Pickups and electronics - £80 Bridge - £30 Neck - £180 Tuners - £50 Special packages: Loaded body (body, bridge, pickups) £300 Loaded neck (neck, tuners) £220
16. Potential buyer have not responded for four days so I presume he's not interested any more. How about another price drop to £530. If you don't need gigbag I'll happily keep it and subtract another £20 from price.
17. Guys, come on, no need to argue here. Prices were a bit over the line, I'll correct them if the bass don't sell as a whole (potential buyer took day or two to sort the money).
18.
Could we see a video of this being played by a 17 year old please?
Didn't you mean 17 year bald?
19. That is a beauty...
20. Thanks for kind words guys. Well, I see it might be overpriced a little due to fact it's not new. But I've got potential buyer for whole bass so let's say this is on hold.
21. Is it really $250? They must have changed their prices recently... This one was definitely quite some $$ over $300 + postage + tax + new nut (that corian was poor and broke at one point). Hmm, I tried their online calculator and it shows $340. Where's the problem?
22. Yes, warmoth parts are Fender compatible.
23. Should I get it it's overpriced?
24. Bass SOLD as a whole! I've been asked couple of times if I'll consider parting the bass. I will. Here's the original sale thread: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=120328 Body - £220 - Warmoth, jazz shape - alder, three matched pieces - high grade bookmatched bubinga top - amber (?) color - back routed cavity - fully shielded with copper tape - rosewood veneered back cavity cover + spare ivory cover - black schaller strap-lock buttons OR classic black buttons Pickups and electronics - £80 - custom wound SBS pickups - dual coils in series (aimed to be stronger in bass and lo-mid, little weaker in mids and not so harsh at treble) - CTS pots, orange drop cap, switchcraft jack socket - custom rosewood knobs Bridge - £30 - black Schaller 3D bridge Neck - £200 - Warmoth, jazz shape - wenge back (amazing!) - bloodwood fretboard (think of red ebony) - stainless steel frets (6230 i.i.r.c.) - custom nut made from buffalo horn - position markers made (probably) from maple - black string tree Tuners - £50 - black Gotoh Kluson style tuners + all the screws Prices were shot in the hurry, so they might be completely insane (well, it's 2AM, so my brain is already off). I will sell when there're buyers for at least £300 worth of parts. Trades possible to, but I need some cash going my way.
