1. Incredible deal here! Who cares about cosmetic imperfections? (I don't need another bass, I don't need another bass, ... damn GAS!)
2. I don't know "right going rate" here on BC, but these are quite expensive where I live. This pickup + BTC would cost about 170-180GBP...
3. I have EMG P wired with volume pot + EMG BTC (bass and treble on one stacked pot, has 2 internal switchis to change frequencies) + battery clip + jack connector, mounting screws included. It fits standard fender precision two pot hole scratchplate, body might need some routing for battery. Pickup and electronics comes with original wiring instructions and EMG knobs (I can include dome metal knobs in black). Trade options - distortion or fuzz pedal - the louder beehive hidden inside the better - pedal compressor - quality instrument/speaker cables - DI box (MXR M80 would be awesome) - always interested in something else (Alternatively selling price is lowered to £75 + few quid for P&P anywhere within European Union.) Pics:
4. To be honest U retro is a bit too expensive for bass like this. The bass was about 250GBP and I think stuffing it with cca 200GBP U retro is kind of wasting the money. Does anybody have experience with Seymour Duncan STC-2(P)? It seems like nice and easy to install two band three knob electronics... And it doesn't cost a ton.
5. Hello. First to say: I hope I'm posting this in right section. Now to my "problem". I recently bought Cort GB75 which is really sweet bass. To get in picture here's photo of it: The bass has J + MM pickup configuration. Feel of the bass is really nice for me, so I'm thinking of changing pickups (and pre) to get even nicer sound of it. Those stock Mighty Mite are not bad at all, but they lack a "definition" in bass or ... hard to explain. Simply: they're not bad, but also they are not great. The same is with active electronics installed, it could be better. 1) The bridge MM pickup should be easy to replace. According to my ruler it seems it is same dimension like bridge pickup on Lakland 55-02. There are Nordstrand, Bartolini and some others to get in this shape and dimensions. 2) The neck J pickup might be really hard to change without cutting into wood or pickguard/scratchplate. Length of pickup is about 102mm, width 19mm and it has 49mm between screws. I've searched the web for replacement, but was pretty unlucky. It seems like biggest problem is with the screw ears. I have an idea of purchasing another pickup, pull it from its plastic shell and push it into Cort's original Mighty Mite shell. But it might be really hard to find pickup with exactly matching pole pieces. So I'm asking if there are some bassists playing 5 string bass with J neck pickup who can provide some dimensions. I made crappy picture of what should be sufficient (C is about those 17,5mm): Thanks for any ideas you might have. 3) Switching the electronics should be easy job. First there are 2 holes for switches. One switch is bridge pickup selector bridge coil/series/neck coil. That switch will stay to provide versatility. Another switch is midrange selector and in future it might be used for active/passive selector with one of plenty 3 knob electronics. I'm not desperate to change the pickups right now. I'm quite satisfied with the bass as is, but GAS is working 24/7 so I'm looking and thinking. I'll be really glad if you can share your ideas of what to do or how to do it. :-) Thanks! PS: Sorry if it's hard to understand. My english is far from being perfect.
6. Free BUMP and some blah blah stuff in czech: Tak tohle je ultimátní pádlo. Škoda, že je mimo moje cenové možnosti... Doufám, že ho rychle prodáš, aby mě nenutilo prodat ledvinu a játra.
7. I wish I had some more cash. This bass is so tempting!
8. This is really good price! I had the same and it was the best solution for home practise...
9. Shame it wasn't here month ago... I'll still ask our guitarist if he might be interested.
10. This bass is killing me... I wish I had some extra cash.
11. I'll ask my friend. He's looking for some quality P pickup... Are you willing to post internationally?
12. I had 5 stringer with 17,5mm spacing and even then it was too narrow. The only way for me is 19mm spacing, I think :-(
13.
I just got one of these and I'm very impressed with the tone. Definitely a good buy.
Exactly the same with me.
14. Nice bass. What is the string spacing at the bridge?
15.
I was trying to fit them to an early Encore P-Bass which has a headstock similer in size (i think) to the ...
I had same feeling about my second bass. Only measurement showed how fool I was... :-D Thanks for the info all of you.
16. These are about the same size as full size Hipshot or Schaller, I presume? So they should fit standard Fender headstock, right? And sorry for hijacking this thread.
17. May I ask what are they quality-wise? (price/quality ratio) I want them in black... Thank you.
18. It definitely was listed some time ago. I wrote the seller and he told me he had been trying to sell the bass about 1/4 year back. Bass did not sold, now it's up for sale again. I'd like to try the neck, but the rest of bass is pretty weird.
19. Bought Ashdown LG1000 from Silverfoxnik and nothing about the deal could be better. Excellent communication, packed incredibly well. Dealing with him is highly recommneded!
20. Bought a precision mighty mite neck with hipshot tuners and I'm more than satisfied! Really cheap, but highly comfortable neck. Packed well, posted fast. Highly recommended!
