2. I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings on my 34" scale Stingray 5 and I'm really happy with them, I know that they are not evryone's cup of tea but for me they are great. I am looking for a spare bass, possibly a Lakland which of course is 35" scale and I am wondering if the EB Reg slinky's are going to be long enough. At present on my Stingray the windings on the B string go about 20mm past the nut which presumably on a 35" scale bass with through body stringing would leave them short?? Has anyone else come across this issue, maybe I'm worrying about nothing but I dont want to buy a new bass then have to go through a whole range of new strings to find something I like. Any comments would be helpfull. Thanks J
 3. Will consider a trade for a Lakland 55-02.......
 4.
These are FAB !! Ive had one and they are very high quality instruments. They were Yam's top 5 stringer back then, superbly built, and everything was top notch from the quilted maple to the ebony fingerboard to the NE preamp which gives a range of good tones. Not a raw rock bass but does smooth pure and sophisticated in spades. Lovely smooth finished fingerboard, I found mine an absolute delight to play. PS Youve got some nasty looking dings on the fence there........nothing too much on the bass though. PPS have I earnt my pint yet ?
A pint plus a chaser!! lol
 5. FOR SALE: BBNE1 Nathan East Signature Bass. Body Alder with figured Maple cap Neck Maple Bolt-on Fretboard Ebony Pickups 2 special singles with dummy coils Hardware Gold Controls Master volume, pan, bass cut/boost, treble cut/boost, user-definable mid range Frets 24 Bridge Solid Brass Scale 34" Finish Amber Burst Featuring bolt on neck construction, the two octave neck is built from maple and mahogany and the wonderful flamed amber cap with an ebony fingerboard inlaid with figured abalone.Matching gold tuners to complete the look of this fantastic bass. The unique BB body is made of maple and alder for a fat sound with plenty of definition. The gold plate bridge features provide precise intonation,a low profile, and elegant look. The stacked Alnico humbuckers run through a 5 control active electronics, which feature a custom 3 band EQ with a switchable mid-cut to provide sonic versatility for any situation. The neck is set with to a lowish action, and comes with its original yamaha hardcase. This bass has been dated at somewhere around 1989/90 and has seen plenty of action although it is in full working condition. Cosmetically there are some scars namely the buckle marks on the back and the thumb mark just between and above the pickups. The neck is solid and fast and the tone is unbelievable, as you would expect from a signature bass from such a prestigious player. Have included some pictures below, but if anyone wants more just mail me your address and I'll get them off to you. I'm asking just £750. 9. I have just put an OBP3 back into my shuker Bass (5 string) which has a pair of SD Basslines ASB2's fitted at present. The sound is great but not a patch on my old Stingray5 so I am really still looking for that throaty lower mid growl and dont know whether a pair of EMG HZ or Nordstrand Big Splits would be best. I know I could stick with the stingray but the Shuker bass feels really nice and is a good weight so I dont really want to get rid of it unless I have too, you know a bass is for life etc......................plus I need a spare anyway. I would be interested to hear if anyone out there any experience with Nordy big splits, especially with an OBP3
 10.
...just wondered if anyone had any experience with them and can let me know how good/bad/average they find them? Anything I should be wary of or anything to keep an eye out for? It's my first Warwick, y'see - i'm quite excited...!
Quite an old thread, but I am lokking to buy the same model and just wondered how you feel about the bass 18 months on........
 11. Sorry no trades, already have too many basses!! No case unfortunatley but if the buyer pays postage I will ensure that it is very carefully packed
 12.
What wood is the body made out of?
Dont know I'm afraid, its a reasonable weight so maybe ash? How would I tell?

 17. Well I don't post much, I'm a simple guy from the west country (you know tractors and all that) but this thread is better than Coronation street and Eastenders all in one!! Get a life its an amp and cab, no one's died...................yet!! I know Ian, I work with him regularily in the Supertrooper show (sorry mate did you want to keep that one quiet?). He is a nice bloke, a good player and his gear is in good condition and well looked after. If your after a decent reliable rig for the right price you may have found it. I understand that the EBS stuff works at 2 Ohms so he's probably right to sell the amp and cab as one as most other rigs are rated at 4 Ohms, but I stand to be corrected. BIG bump...
 18.
1884! Damn that is old!!!!!
