1.
Just by way of clarification, I understand that Barry IS , once again, responsible for booking the Running Horse gigs AND the Brittania Boat Club shows.
Aaah, that explains why I saw him in the 'Runner the other night
2. I can feel a 'Nottingham BC night out' coming on
3. Barry's left the 'Runner, he's at the Boat Club now, and the Blues have moved with him...
4. ~ that birdseye is just amazing!!!
5.
I'm reliably informed.......
6.
Fortunately not in that Phillipino ladyboy way....
Eh? you've had a more 'colourful' life than me then...
7.
In a strangely karmic way, given that Bob PM'd me pretty much the day I bought the Ovation and said he wanted it, he now has it.
Now that's what I call a happy ending
8. I'll check it out... hope to get to a gig soon.
9. Wow! what an amazing collection
10. I can only but aspire to that level of contentment The point is (and I'm speaking for myself here) that gear becomes an end in itself... And I kind of hate that, it seems so daft; but basses are beautiful and I love buying them. I just feel a bit foolish when I hear a player with crummy gear who's playing better than I ever will
11. I went down to see this gig, last night at the 'Runner... I gotta say the crowd was paltry, & on a Sat. night too! John was easily the best musician there, with some really good bass lines. And a drummer who must be challenging to play with... Nice tone from the Ashdown 1 x 15" and Jazz bass combination Still, it worries me when gigs like this are so badly attended... It was listed in the Guardian guide too (thinks, maybe that was the problem!).
12. I'm the previous owner of the 5 string Jazz... I have to say it's a killer bass, only traded to swop for a 4 string Jazz Also this seller is a really good guy, definately recommended!
13. The back of that Crafter's beautiful!
14. Really sorry to hear about the injury... hope it gets better asap
15. Hi, I have an SRX705 (the 5 string version) and it's really excellent... Beautiful neck thru, powerful pickups, good eq, very versatile sounds. It just seems like a really well built, purposeful bass, solid as a rock The only weak point may be the usual generic tuners, I'd swop 'em out. I don't play mine now (I'm just using 4 strings), but I do miss its sound.
16. Lol! I'd love to, but I'm working every bloody day for the forseeable future
17. That's a beautiful instrument... looking forward to some pics.
18. Count me in... anything I can do to help, just PM me ;-)
19.
have you still got this board?
It ends on eBay at 7pm tonight... there's not a lot of interest, don't think it'll go for much
20. Hi! I've never used the 18v leads - pretty sure they're in my lead drawer I'll check tonight... P.s. - the Sterling is awesome!
21.
Are you actually interested in buying this bass? If not, [s]do the rest of us a favour and shut the f*ck up[/s] please refrain from commenting on the hard case included.
Had a bad day?
