As I wrote above, here are more examples of raising the foot switches on my current board: They are on the Darkglass, Depth Charge, and my custom job.

I do that on pedals with crowded knobs and switches. Basically I took 3 or 4 metal hex nuts, used a cyanoacrylate glue to stack them on top of each other (very similar to Krazee Glue) and then finally used some heat shrink tubing to finish it off. It allows the footswitch to be much taller so I don't accidentally break the mini toggles on the pedal. I am quite pleased with my "invention"
