Plenty of access to a wide variety of instruments, and a ready (well, ready-ish - it's a recession, don't you know?) market if we decide not to keep them. I've gone through a few in my time; all have gone to good homes since; and some have moved on again. I may well get some of them back at this rate

And, of course, with such a big site we find we have a mix of people - and some are still learning, neatly explaining why the old debates never seem to go away; it's because they're always new to someone Still, we do what we can - and I think, on the whole, we all do a good job of calling issues out and talking them through

If you're ever in York, you're welcome to stop by and try I will disagree with many, however - Ric, themselves, don't need a budget brand. Their business works fine as is, despite the efforts of John Hall. The Rockinbetters work fine for the NPR modest of pocket - or those like me, with a bit of kitsch affection for an item of such controversy.

Depends on genre. You can find simplicity and complexity in all ages, should you wish.

Welcome back, Ed - sounds good. I think I'd echo Nige's comments about the bass, but - having lost myself in the mix before - I appreciate it's difficult. Very impressive
