Well, I think that’s the one Al Krow ended up with - it was on commission sale for ages.

It’s a shame because it’d be a winner for me, a sort of Yamaha Spector LX. I’ll find one eventually - would love a sunburst one.

If it was under £500, I’d invest in a nice translucent refinish of some format… But…at £825, he can whistle.

See, I like this recent Instagram post…but really - looks a bit like an Ibanez Sr300 (albeit hand crafted in USA)

He’s just offered it to me at £825 with the following taglines… ”order one from Japan at £1100 if you’d prefer” and ”I’m in no rush to sell, try again if it’s still here next month…” I won’t. To either.

Although I sold an ex demo one in a shop for about £500 (should’ve bought it…) Used I think £500-£700 would be right. if it was immaculate (which it isn’t) or the rarer black/burst/white) then fair enough. it’s dinged all around the jack and has buckle rash on the belly contour…so it’s £600 maximum in my head. I’ve already offered £650 and that’s been declined so…that’s me out, and still in the gear abstinence thread 😂

It’s on my watch list. I’ve made 2 offers - seller seems to want basically what they’ve put as starting bid… which, let’s be Frank…is too much

I think it’s more about affordability. Does owning a Ferrari or Lamborghini make you a skilled driver? Not necessarily. But if you can afford a Lamborghini, would you drive a 15 year old Ford Focus? Probably not.

I’m a kitchen sink kind of player. Then I strip it back, as time goes on - I’m playing less busy stuff, but I tend to play chords etc to fill sounds out so guitarist can play accent lines etc. @lee650says I play guitar bass.

Much like anything Star Wars - I’ll give anything RHCP a go. Just like the constant rumblings about Star Wars’ recent output- I’d rather have it than have nothing. I am surprised they stir up so much ‘hatred’ in people - but, that’s life isn’t it.
