  1. Yeah. Need exact same brand and age strings on them…
  2. So, I’m about to receive a bass I’ve been chasing for a while (Musicman Sabre Classic) And I have an abundance of posh P/J’s. And realistically, won’t see as much action as the other - I’m not skint, but not wealthy enough to have several £1000 basses hanging around unused “just in case”. Yamaha 1986/Japan - warmth (acoustically) and that old resonance only 30 years or so can bring… Fender 2014/Japan - snaps acoustically, slimmer neck…sounds phenomenal plugged in, silent. Yamaha has 60 cycle hum on solo…but loves a bit of drive… Both Japanese, both “rare” BB1600 is worth more…
  3. Wish I had enough in the pot for a Wal 😉
  4. I was that fast to press buy, I beat the internet 😂
  5. The SGC bass collection basses really impressed me. Lovely things. Shockingly, I’ve never owned one - but have owned Godlyke and Tune basses - of a similar ilk.

  7. I dunno… has a charm… no, sorry, can’t lie…it has no charm. it’s vile.
  8. There is a queue… every single person in the queue “I KNOW HIM SO WELL!”
  9. Well! Yup. i have 1 of the small BB knobs too, in a draw somewhere. Spotted one was pretty cracked.
  10. The good thing is that the 35DC size has sort of become a bit of a “standard” size… Aguilar Duncan Nordstrand all seem to do that size. Snappy/Bright suggest that something single coil might help. Or at least something you can split the coils on if you want. if it plays well, and you like it…worth the outlay. Especially as Lefty’s are a bit weak on choice for nice basses. The Fame ones seem to vary in price - if I rightly recall, a few have sold here.
  11. Where am I looking Bri? Have missed a link somewhere
  12. Don’t worry. Owned both - no different
  13. There’s a yamaha bb1024 in caramel for £450, think that’s on Facebook - that might be here too. Thats a belting price. Theres also a Bb1100s on these pages - think you’d be hard pressed to beat either.
  14. I just buy stuff I fancy, and if it doesn’t work out I just move it on. Dont really get sentimental over gear. If it’s not going to get used regularly, i move it on.
  15. No, it’s more a rotating door 😉
  16. 8mm box wrench. Gibson/Taylor use the same.
  17. Ah, I thought they did? Im not overly concerned
  18. Think @sshorepunk is still selling his caprice. i would’ve jumped, but I’ve got more P/J’s than brain cells, currently.
  19. Bought a bass for £1400 yesterday at about 6pm worryingly…only just marked as sold. good…but is it sold to me?! Who knows. e-Mails and FB messages not replied to. Here’s hoping:
