  1. @Eldon Tyrell has just bought a bass from me - a beautiful Sledge Sabre. Weirdly I can’t find a feedback thread - was an absolute pleasure of a deal. Absolutely lovely bloke and hopefully he’s going to enjoy the bass. Deal in confidence, pleased to be the first - NOW THE FLOODGATES OPEN! 🤣
  2. Yeah. It’s all there. They’re an absolute winner. Maybe bongo 5 quest is back on.
  3. Will get my tape measure out. Just had a takeaway so not yet…
  4. Well. A bongo 5 is on offer. so. Send me a message in a bit.
  5. 10000% not a fender of any ilk… bah.
  6. Cannot thank you enough mate, honestly. i owe very few people in this world. but I am indebted to you x
  7. Absolute machine this thing. On a par with the sabre.
  8. Still 99.9% this is the original one: put it this way, I wouldn’t put my house on it, but I wouldn’t be shocked it it was…
  9. Mum and dad have it. Safely
  10. You can have a crispy “bugger off” 😂
  11. All a journey. I’m excited about the bongo. Very much so. Hopefully after the efforts in getting hold of it - my memory is 100% correct.
  12. Well…bongo 5 quest is on hold. Went to the studio today with the Stingray 5. it just works. And I picked up something else today which needed saving and has cost me a bit to make right: so the bongo has a “brother”. all will become clear soon enough.
  13. My sisters cousin in law lives 15 miles away - if it was cheaper than this fish supper I’ve found at a restaurant in Rhyl, I’d get her to send her friends fiancé…
  14. My mate is more of a guitarist but loved when I recorded some parts for him with a stingray. He wanted that sound for future demos and got a Sterling Ray (at the time about £700) and it was blummin lovely. If you can try both…see what you think. For no reason other than financial, I’d look for a second hand full fat Musicman £900-£1300 seems to be normal for them. A lot of bass for that kind of money. Also, the lesser spotted EX range which were made in Japan. They’re wonderful too.
  15. No. It’s the space I reserve for mistakes.
  16. I’m up there a fair bit…don’t see the point in it being there if it’s not being used
  17. Yeah, they’ll never catch on.
  18. Think the Egyptian Smoke would be better with a lighter pickguard, just looks a bit “metal” as it is. This is stunning though - and I’m sorely tempted
  19. I’d love to make a rash decision on this. but as I’m firmly stuck in the 80’s I’d lose my head popping the c by accident. fume. i know @lee650 would mock me,
  20. HOOOOFFFTTT did a bit of happy wee then. had a piezo 4h, didn’t know a stingray could sound even more direct. Ace instrument
  21. How did I miss this? d’oh. if it doesn’t sell. Let me know
  22. We’ll see mate. Covers a lot of ground does an SR5. Might just be enough.
  23. If I can’t find a blue/orange/red/green/purple bongo 5 HH…this will remain as my 5. And if someone snaps the yamaha up…it shall also remain. It’s a total winner this bass.
  24. Yeah. Odd that… think the gallery website needs updating
