  1. There are some out there…my eldest daughter filmed this at a gig… 14ec16c6-85c1-4f2b-950d-f7a9903f7d69.mov
  2. One is apparently worth a few quid… Will set about that in the next week
  3. I’ve just spoke to bathroom guy…I suspect that anything not screwed to the floor in the house will be available…And he’s a bloody family member doing mates rates… Star Wars Helmets up soon…2 Yorkshire Terriers, Vinyls, DVDs, Blu Rays - Moderately used and knackered 40 year old bass player (87% battery life left) Honestly guys - blown away.
  4. I cannot get my words together; what a place to be. from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
  5. It’s certainly going to dent it - we’re lucky that 6 years ago we got the house at a decent price…but the area has had a massive upswing; in theory great for us- but also means if we stay within a few miles (iris’ (mainstream) school is fantastic for her and we cannot take her elsewhere as she’s settled and her SENDCo and TA know everything about her…we actually can’t afford to buy a bigger/better suited house. In an ideal world - I’d get a bungalow…but they don’t seem to exist in our area with more than 2 bedrooms. I’d love to buy a field and build…but we don’t have that kind of money…
  6. I’ve just sent chapter and verse to @Clarky - my head has well and truly fallen off. I am humbled and so grateful. The gear sale may have to continue as there’s a lot of work to do (detailed in my essay to Clarky) - basically to make the thing work in its entirety, we have to lose the family living room and move the kitchen… Iris will get her statutory grant - not anything like enough to follow the original plans of her own space; we will make it work somehow. We could do a massive remortgage, but in a world where our mortgage payments went up about 25% last year - we cannot financially do it. We cannot relocate as we rely heavily on our family network for her appointments and the other kids too. They did say there was a relocation Grant available…then told us the rules changed…because we work. 😒 My original idea of winning the lottery hasn’t quite worked as I’d planned… What I do know is this…you’re all absolutely feckin brilliant.
  7. She doesn’t at the moment…she’s too busy ramp jumping 😂 thank you though mate x
  8. Crazy madam needs independence; when we started the process, they assured me and my scepticism that us both being workers would not be factored in… now either we were lied to, or they’ve taken so long over the process…that the goalposts have shifted… I think the application/process outcome should adhere to the rules/constraints at the time of the start of the application, not the rules by the time they’ve finished piddling about FOR FOUR YEARS - a point I have made very clear to the OT team and the Adaptation manager in a recent email. Anyhow…needs must.
  9. If it stays in the Basschat family…I’ll know where to go to get it back. Its a phenomenal instrument, probably the peak of Gibson’s bass efforts - unlike the RD with its innovative circuits…this is actually playable 😏
  10. This is a killer of a sale. 1. I’ve always wanted one of these; it lived up to expectations. 2. It’s a really good one - I’ve played a few to get to this one. 3. It’s something out of my control causing the sale; but it needs to be done. We were promised support 4 years ago with an extension for a wet room for Iris. After 48 months of back and forth; we’re not getting the support promised because we both work and earn. We’ll get less than half of what was promised - thing is, if we’d took a loan 4 years ago, we’d have paid it off by now, but because we’ve been told by adaptive living we’d get x amount, we’ve held out. I need to make a chunky contribution. This is my most expensive/valuable bass. Dont tell me I’ll regret it etc - I already know it. Anyhow - 1976, superb low action, only non original part is the nut - a Tusq replacement professionally fitted before my ownership. marks and dings…a few, but looks new from a short distance - not bad for 48 years old. The Gibson case was long gone before me. I’ve got a lovely Gibson bag for it. They do fit in the hiscox Teardrop if anyone’s upset - or there are 2 knackered Gibson ones on reverb for £350 ish 🙄 Shipping isn’t ideal - I’d rather not…but it can happen at risk/cost. weight is 10.5lbs - it’s wearing half wounds, and a spare set included. Manchester, M27 postcode, just off the motorway… I have entered a chat with Bass Bros - but would love this to stay within Basschat. I also haven’t listed this on reverb etc…yet.
  11. I’ve played this. Bloody ace bass - knowing Lee it’s probably been kept in a wonderfully humidified and polished environment; his string bill is almost as big as my mortgage payments. great bass, great guy - as if you need a reason to buy 🤪
  12. Unfortunately, unlikely… House renovation means Ripper might be up for sale tonight 😢
  13. It’s on my watch list with very little intention…but the initial “OOOOH” was big
