  1. I’m in a race to the bottom of the sea here. the guy wants silly coin (so why he’s put a BIN of £2k on but then says “I’ve been offered a lot more…”) will watch from a distance now. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  2. Absolutely mate. just stay away from that MK, with your bloody spare Namm Stingray
  3. no. No he can’t. But he’s never done much for me anyhow 👍🏼
  4. Right. these are apparently rubbish, and they’re slated everywhere and it’s a fanboy thing to do… but I’ve waited since I was 13. one is on eBay, 12 miles away. and it’s time for me to have a go, not that anyone would bid due to the reputation 😂 but please god, let me have a go.
  5. More pics. If needs to be posted, can sort a bag/case.
  6. Or, devils advocate…my 350 in the for sale pages ain’t much more 😊
  7. £220 wouldn’t be better spent elsewhere
  8. Just saw one of these in local PMT. They really look the part - didn’t bother trying it as some local bass hero was murdering what I think was a Chilis song on an Ibanez.
  9. Was more of a jokey reference to a post Doc had put on about orange to yellow bursts becoming a theme in his house. I’ll concede that it’s just bloody lovely 😊
  10. Look @Doctor J another honeyburst!!! Lee - I remember the deal to get this back, and I know it’s not being taken lightly to list…but I know where you’re at - My White Jazz was the same, hell or high water it wasn’t for sale. I’ve never looked back, and I know where it is if I freak out. GLWTS.
  11. Well, the “twins” have been here for 11/12 years now, they’re the ones I won’t sell.
  12. Yeah, Spector LX vs Jazz bass, Next to a BB 😵‍💫
  13. Actually @Doctor J that honey/amber thing is contagious
  14. Oooooh. Manchester BB alike…from the 80’s. These were made in Partington near Urmston. Dated a couple of girls from up that way when I was about 17/18, always made mention of it while on the 247 bus “there’s a guitar builder near gear somewhere…” absolutely must behave. Very cool.
  15. You do something to me - Paul Weller
  16. On a serious note… Nothing Else Matters - Metallica (wife picked that for ours) And a few weddings I played at had that Twilight song…”a thousand years”. there you go… Not “closer” by NIN.
  17. It just suited that song - the drummer at the time was a bit crash/bang/wallop (we all know one or two of them; direct descendants of Animal from the muppets) And the rest of the set was a bit full on, the singer fancied herself as a bit of a Manc Adele… Anyhow, was about 5 years ago now, and I don’t have to worry about that song, that singer, or that band anymore 👍🏼
  18. One rehearsal I was warming up and played the first chord (piano chord A but on bass) of “someone like you” by Adele. The singer said “ooh yeah, can we do that?” So without a piano player and with the song not suitable for a full band version - I figured it out for bass and vocal. Absolutely belting way to finish the first set at a busy gig. But those 2 men and a border collie gigs - it was soul destroying. We we’re about to stop doing it. and then we did a gig where half of the stages power went off - and it saved the day as the bass amp, mixer and one of the speakers were in the other circuit. (The landlord messed with the fuse box and we finished the gig as a full band) Never write off the songs you despise playing.
  19. “You shoulda been swallowed sunshine…” great put down.
