  1. As for tv - I have a 50 Panasonic which works well, but the internal speakers are turd. I run into my Sony BluRay 2.1 system. Works well for anything from the Apple TV box via an optical cable. For the odd occasion I watch terrestrial tv, I accept that the speakers are crap.
  2. @Jus Lukin I have those little Samson BT3’s in my kitchen as Bluetooth streaming speakers. mega for parties - well impressed with them, think I got them with some vouchers I won.
  3. No mates in Rotherham
  4. Lovely. Not going to drive that distance though. Great bass though.
  5. I’d message @Ashdown Engineeringthrough their page, once I’m done recording, my old mk500 is off for a service and they had a returns number to me within 24hrs. The VU meter on my (15 year old) amp has stopped working, they’re happy to sort!
  6. Weird this has sat about. Anyhow - now going on eBay. Would really rather this stayed in the BC community as I might regret this. Will sort a video when I get chance.
  7. Radio/video by SOAD?
  8. Think they did a “junior” version too - probably more commonly seen as they were popular with learners.
  9. I use a fender urban double bag - not massively padded…but it works and it’s only me handling the basses so I don’t worry. Has served me well for 10 years. i wanted another bumpy they’re discontinued - a real shame as they were about £60
  10. Will come in this lovely Gibson bag… £250 plus postage.
  11. Jenny is super fit (in more ways than one), a half marathon runner and judoka. She should be ok. She’s rough - only time in 10 years of marriage (excluding Cesarean healing) I’ve known her to not be able to get out of bed. She’s in good form, considering.
  12. Well, I was announced as “colleague of the week” on Friday and got some expensive chocolates (would red wine have been too much of a stretch?!) - she said “aww, well done love - thanks for these…” Then she lost her sense of smell and taste. serves her right, daft bint. 😉😂
  13. The bank manager (Mrs T) isn’t clear on the core values of the investment. she’s got Covid19, so I’ve given her the credit card with a post-it saying “shoe voucher x 1 pair” so she can order tomorrow.
  14. No. It’s staying. Various ideas come and go…the Spector works on some tracks and not others - so I’ll take both 😂
  15. @sshorepunk has a beautiful caprice…must admit, it was that or the Spector I got from you…
  16. 424 has through body stringing too @Al Krow
  17. Sorry - missed this. Reverse P makes everything a bit more “musicman” - it’s a very pokey bass, and if my Spector shifts, I’m keeping it.
  18. Think the “2 series” seemed to nail what the 80’s bb’s we’re all about, straightforward and well made. The newer “3 series” have been made with fender fit pickups etc so just seem a bit less special to me. i think a revamped version of the 2’s with the fancy neck joint and little headstock change would’ve been better. But, what do I know…
