  1. Eeeeeeh. Nice. just came to say that. These new thumbnails on sale posts are like mega temptation
  2. I sold the 72 custom to a mate. he left it on the back seat of a car and it got nicked… knob. the 72 thin line was sold on here - gutted I’ve no clue where it is.
  3. Had telecasters when I switched to guitar - loved my 72 custom and 72 thin line…lusted after a 52 reissue, but gave up 😂
  4. Jesus, I hope so - otherwise my 12 year old daughter has had a hard paper round 🤣
  5. Still tempted by a teal one of these…
  6. Well. You’ve met her. She’s a bit alright, she’ll do. 😉
  7. Yup. Epiphone Sheraton in Natural, 1996/97 ish. Gibson Lucille in cherry Taylor 410ce - should’ve bought that one. Gibson Southern Jumbo - again a specific one. Gibson J200 in Sunburst And a Yamaha c9 concert grand piano - heard one played by a fantastic pianist (guy called Adrian Lord - lovely bloke I worked with for a few years) and It was a magnificent sound. That’s lottery win territory. A neighbour has a C6 in their living room and she makes it sound wonderful.
  8. Well…12. Twelve years. Still here… I won’t share this years birthday photo as we were dancing around at 8.30am in our dressing gowns. But yeah - 12 years. I’ve learned nowt. 😉
  9. I hope so. She’d let me have the money for that too. showed her an 84 Wal the other day - “if one comes up at £5000 when you’re turning 40, I’ll sort it.” ”if it’s more than 5k?” ”Within a grand or so” cor blimey…
  10. £950? Think seller has been sniffing glue…
  11. She never forgave me for the white jazz, or the sting CS. The only two basses she ever mentions. She said the Sting 55 was the coolest bass she’s ever seen.
  12. Dave just bought a Roqsolid cab cover from me. legend. Really easy deal - he’s kept in touch and let me know when it arrived - mega handy. cheers mate x
  13. Hahaha. Misbehave is my middle name… (it’s not; it’s Philip)
  14. No intention of selling this - so please bear that in mind. Talking to @Maude about Yamaha BEX4C’s I’m only interested in the blue or tobacco burst ones. This bb450 is mid 80’s - basically an 1100’s without a preamp - depending on your experience of the bb1100s, might be the best of all worlds. came with a 38mm nut, which was incorrect and has been replaced with a bone 43mm (correct width). Came with wrong bridge, wrong knobs…all replaced with legit mid-80’s yamaha gubbins from my personal random stash of yamaha guts. (Parts from an 87 bb) It’s 34/35 years old so has some swirling and pick marks - but nothing structural or massive. Looks “pristine” from 6ft. It’s light. Like 8.5/9lbs Will come with a Ritter Classic gig bag. Genuinely only interested in a BEX4C. So in no mad rush. Thank you for looking, reading, enjoying and laughing at me. Love you too.
  15. I’ve got some in the “for sale” bit - 4 in fact. send me a Message if they’ll help.
  16. Mrs Travis always seems to notice. ”you need bloody help you, why don’t you marry Yamaha and have done with it…”
  17. Start a spreadsheet - see “for all the basses I have loved” thread. I don’t think I’ve updated that 😂 good Lord I’m such a balloon.
  18. Yeah - always come up at the wrong time, like…a bb has just arrived and stolen some money…
  19. Upset @Al Krowthat you’ve missed the following 415 orange 425x sunburst 424x sunburst 1300 blue 1100s burst (mk1) 1100s white (mk2) from my “had” list and 424x white 424x red 450 sunburst in the current stable. keep up Doris.
  20. @Maude I had a blue BEX - wish I’d kept that bugger.
  21. I had one on short term loan. much like Thunderbirds, it looked stupid on me - absolutely loved how it sounded and played.
  22. I’d go for it - if you hate it (which I doubt you will) and sell for £300, it’s cost you £15 to find out you need something else. if you love it - (which I think you will) it’s a great bass for not much coin.
  23. Just played mine for 20 minutes, lovely new string clang!
  24. One thing I have in abundance is a willingness to be creative…the talent bit is elusive - I’ll find it one day (and probably keel over in shock) 🥴😂
