Also played at St Mary’s Chambers on Friday in Rossendale. Decent enough - rougher than I’d have liked as we’ve been away on holiday for 2 weeks and the guys haven’t rehearsed (fair enough 🤷🏻‍♂️) photos by our very own @Dankology

It was blummin great - Played Middleton Arena supporting The Chameleons. half seated (full) and half standing (filled up as we played) so probably 200-250 people watching (think 550 tickets sold). Tried some new tunes. Hired bass rig was a fender rumble 500 combo - very decent little amp - would’ve preferred my own rig, but it was a shared bill and a second kit was on stage floor in front of the riser for the chameleons drummer. Took the Casady and the ripper - but stuck with the ripper to cover all ground. Just “home” as far as my basses are concerned. some good feedback too…

100% then I p/exd it to buy a Warwick - in fairness I had that Warwick until 2010

Haven’t played a new fender in ages - I do recall the 2013(?) American Standards - when they introduced the custom shop pickups etc - they were bloody lovely basses. @Lozz196 will correct me I’m sure. I’d love another Fender at some point. Always wonder what happened to my sunburst 1997 jazz i bought with money I got doing work experience and a paper round. id know it anywhere - had a weird tweak/knot on the forearm contour under the finish.

I genuinely think they’ll box it clever and just go on stage and get the job done. Noel’s divorce ain’t cheap. The cynic in me thinks the acrimonious relationship has been a way to keep both brothers in the news. i will say, I have enjoyed both brothers solo output. Council Skies by NGHFB and c’Mon You Know by LG are in rotation. I will say - Oasis probably did more for Epiphone in the 90’s than any ad campaign could ever hope to achieve.

I’ll be going, and I’ll be taking my 2 teenagers - because all the negativity people seem to put on them as a band/solo artists doesn’t make an ounce of difference to me and what happened when I heard them for the first time aged 11. they were massive for me. saw them 3 times - once on their last (I think) tour. No matter what people think of them - for a lot of people, they were an era defining band. shame that guigsy/bonehead most likely won’t be involved - the word is that it’s Liam/Noel and the High Flying Birds as the rest of the band.

I took the tiger out with a can of mace…but the shop keeper and his son…that was a different story altogether… I had to beat them to death with their own shoes…

Had 2 from August 16th. not sure I’ve made the right choice… but.. here it is. attractively named “August 2024” I’m currently on holiday so this is just a demo idea sent to the band from earlier In the month rather than a specific recording. In all honesty, I’m 13 years younger than the drummer, 9 years younger than the singer and I dress like a 17 year old…so…I not only look younger, but also totally ridiculous too 🤣 my beard adds years. i could pass for 30 if I shaved it off. Mrs T says I look about 13 when I do shave - she hates it.

Yeah - if he’s not willing to play the game, he’s either lazy or dodgy.

I’d want to see it in person - I will say, my gut instinct says it’s legit. I’m sure some internal shots would confirm, and some stamp pics. poor effort from seller - but not necessarily a shady deal.
