  1. My eldest (born the same day I joined basschat…) has asked to borrow a bass. Shes starting a band.
  2. @briansbrew for the SB? looks ace
  3. I reckon a grand to £1500 for regular and for the 5 signed ones from PMT, sky’s the limit. Will you outlive Hooky?
  4. Yeah - read up on them, it’s been on Facebook for a bit. concensus is that they’re bang average…
  5. Went a bit ott listening to Dirty Loops recently, the novelty has worn off for me now. Definitely skilled, definitely clever…but a bit empty. I did the same with Vulfpeck last year. Sort of like chocolate, lovely in small doses but makes you throw up if you overdo it.
  6. Want this….do I need it? Nope…but want?! Wow. Give me 40 seconds
  7. Really like the bb1600 in this “gunmetal” finish. But they seem to be a unicorn amongst unicorns…
  8. The car is already made…ordered it in July.
  9. It’s fate - honestly mate, if I had within £50 of this - I’d be making offers. After the call with a car dealership today, I’m not within a grand.
  10. You’re happy to take 4 kids, 2 cats? You’re not having the wife though 😉
  11. Seems about right. Yamaha serial numbers are frigging bonkers.
  12. @Al Krow no - I keep thinking about 5’s since working on @lee650’s 425 - But with the music I’m doing, that B would…ahem B in the way…
  13. It’s lovely, a good weight and sounds good. No real need to sell currently.
  14. Ah the 350f converted into a 350 not f. it’s red with gold hardware
  15. Ah well. Bb300 on the way to Dublin. Happy it’s going to a friend who I’ve recorded for who wanted “the bb sound you get…” And then comes the debate…does the 350 stay. It’s different enough to justify.
  16. There’s one for £1200 on eBay - looks great https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/YAMAHA-TRB5-PII-5-STRING-BOUTIQUE-BASS-GUITAR-NEAR-IMMACULATE-CONDITION-/284473576662?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  17. If I had the money - this would be back with me. Brilliant bass sold in a time of need… Was an honour to be its first owner!
  18. Have looked at both ideas. the BB424x in silver or blue flake was going to end up £450 ish as a refin. So I stopped. And the MM sound is good, but I’ve found with the right bit of eq and switch changed to a blend, you can get quite close to a MM sound - my 350 with the reverse P even more so.
  19. They seem to fetch £1300 - £1500 here, don’t come up too often. I had one about 5/6 years ago in bubinga and I regret selling. Think I got £1450
  20. Flats already on 😉
  21. Another, nother deal. My Tune went across the pond and some money and a Yamaha came my way. hHe’s a legend, and has a very healthy bass collection 😜
  22. Ah yeah. Forgot about that. Can’t remember how that came about. Don’t think that was ever mine
  23. Wow…Hahahah. wow. Just. Yeah. there we go 😉
  24. And that packaging routine isn’t cheap 😂
  25. Just listed this - it’s lush, but I’m being sensible and the 350 covers the same ground. And as the 350 is sidelined because of the 1600…it seems futile to hang onto it.
