  1. Ah yeah. Forgot about that. Can’t remember how that came about. Don’t think that was ever mine
  2. Wow…Hahahah. wow. Just. Yeah. there we go 😉
  3. And that packaging routine isn’t cheap 😂
  4. Just listed this - it’s lush, but I’m being sensible and the 350 covers the same ground. And as the 350 is sidelined because of the 1600…it seems futile to hang onto it.
  5. Taken in Trade against my Tune. Its absolutely lovely as these old BB’s are, effectively a P bass but with a reversed P. I want to keep it as a flats thumper, but in all honesty, the need isn’t there as I don’t play anything requiring it. I have a bb350 too which is the same bass with an added J, so I can’t even make the excuse that it’s a sound I haven’t got covered. ”M” prefix serial number is 1986. Neck is a beauty, like a slim ish flattened P bass neck. Birdseye grain throughout. Black finish shows a little swirling, but to be fair - it’s in great condition for 35 years of age. Knock on each side and one at the bridge - a bit of a buckle mark on the back, but not gouged. Machineheads are modern 424/1024 units. I don’t have the original tulips - how I got it, and in fairness I know the originals are a bit of a joke (and heavy as hell). weight - scales battery has died, feels solid - 10lbs is my estimate (I know my 414 is 9lbs dead). Shipping can happen at your cost and risk. I have no spare cases or bags so would be a bubble wrap job in a box. Collection from me in sunny Manchester is fine too. Offers are welcome (sensible ones) - not really after trades of any sort, but I’m susceptible to them…an at risk gear monkey.
  6. Think £350 is top dollar on these - think I listed a couple for this but they had a brand new £60 Gotoh bridge apiece and new strings on each and I think a choice of pickguards. anyhow - someone may pay £400 if it’s a specific model they’re after.
  7. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/847618906114363/ Seems a good price.
  8. I always take picks. While working on new ideas with the Band, I’ll dig one out and give it a go. But as I’ve moved away from regular use I find I’m really clumsy with one so don’t bother much
  9. Just done a Rod tweak on the black bb300. These old bb necks are just like home to me. Bloody brilliant, it’s got flats on it too. I don’t have anything with flats on…hmm. Might be handy…🥴😵‍💫😂
  10. eBay has some
  11. Alpher made knobs for a while in woods - might be worth asking
  12. I reckon if I’d bought one of the first batch instead of a Jack Casady…I’d still have sold it.
  13. Yeah. That’s what I meant.
  14. It’s home now - it was delivered to work. The best comparison is that if the 1024 had a baby with the 414 while having the quality of the 1300. that makes no sense unless you’ve owned all 3.
  15. I have a black one - about 1987/88…not sure what to do yet. I daren’t start playing it. Looks ace. Love the 300’s.
  16. Take that. Shove a maple neck on it…oooooh
  17. Yeah, I really don’t know anything about the new stuff. I think even my bb414 is classed as vintage 😂
  18. It does and doesn’t. Because it’s better. I’m going to mention it again.
  19. Glad to have you back - always had something to say and it was usually useful. Once you go basschat…you can never go back. or can you? Yes…apparently so 😉
  20. Updates. Now at 12 full songs… suppose we’d better book in the studio. unfortunately, the band don’t agree that we should stay as the 602, and that’s a shame to me. but, the new stuff is good.
  21. He did a thing called “sugar” in a bass day 98 dvd - and still to the day, I have no clue what it was - boggled my entire skull. he’s a nice bloke - and a phenomenal player.
