  1. This spoon…this, smack on head.
  2. My initial thought was about how thin that scratch plate would be at the edge - possibly ‘snappable’ 😂
  3. Apparently in 2008 fender announced it as an April Fools web post, but some guys have made them, pretty cool.
  4. There was a guy who did a mock up of a jag Stang bass…
  5. Ibanez blazer a 70’s/80’s P pickup bass Fender Jag Stang a Guitar with and offset body. and “Oof that’s lovely…” and “mad” because it’s a lovely mix of designs.
  6. Oof like a mad Blazer Jag Stang bass cool
  7. I think that’s a 400, but it’s a dog. £50 would be appropriate
  8. Hahah - nor am I. are you going for it?!
  9. If I see a used one in a couple of years, I could be tempted. Id like to play one first really too. Wish I’d got the TS-4 I had when I worked in an esp dealer.
  10. have you seen yesterday’s update? Original Guitarist quit at 5.30 after 3/4 rehearsals back. His replacement (who i’d wanted to keep…) Came down on 2 hours notice and absolutely smashed it - So he’s back, and original guy can’t come back now. He’s gone. There’s more to it than that. But this isn’t the place for it. To the OP - best of luck, go for it!
  11. Sorry for nonsense above from me. serious post… in 2007 I was sent a batch of demos for a singer guy I’d been recommended to. I played roughly root note stuff with a bit of movement, nothing flashy - and to the song, he never told me to play less, occasionally asked me to play more and that’s how it stayed for 2 albums and a few hundred gigs over about 6 years. I eventually quit due the commitment and family stuff I had going on - the guy who they took on bought all of the pedals I used to use, and played slightly straighter versions of my basslines (from what I’d been told) - his stuff on subsequent recordings had his own style and he sounded great. Just play what’s right for you and the song, I’d probably go in and make a holy show of myself these days as I’m nowhere near as cool as I once thought I was 😆
  12. A chapless donkey is a blessing - if you’re unfortunate enough to have a chapped donkey…try this…
  13. £500, would’ve had it.
  14. Maybe if I did that, the revolving door would stop…
  15. £919. Not in “impulse buy” territory
  16. I dread to think how I’d do at an audition, I hate the entire process. We’ve had a rubbish run of luck with the band since we did a nice little EP. Predominately guitarists. Prior to that was drummers. Then singers. Then returning singers and guitarists. Then guitarists again as of 5pm and until 6.30pm last night - long story. I should go put as a solo act called “Triggers broom and the revolving door” I freely admit I am the only member of the band who hasn’t left or been told to leave which means I’m definitely the issue 😂 But I’ve never auditioned - was debating recently.
  17. More than likely. As @EBS_freak says, I’m known for bellendery.
  18. No. that was big Al. Andy followed Big Al and was lovely. He was brilliant, then singer threw his toys out of the pram - so we got a new singer too. Progress was slow with new singer. so original guitarist and original singer returned for “another go”. Andy was an unintentional “casualty” of that. but he’s mega cool and just said “let me know if you’re working on anything else”.
  19. Listening to a rehearsal where we developed 8 ideas with a guy who enjoyed it. not whined about what effect to use on a chorus of 1 idea for 3 hours.
  20. Back to Andy. works quicker, plays great, much more chilled and most importantly, goes in more musical directions. Which is better.
  21. Andy is on his way to meet us 🤣
  22. No. Thinking more traditional…🤦🏻‍♂️
  23. How are we all? just to keep this updated… After just 3 rehearsals, the guitarist has quit. Brilliant. He wants “to pursue a covers band as his musical outlet” OH well. I’m not really that bothered anymore. I’ve got two people lined up. Hoping Andy who did a great job before hand doesn’t hold a grudge…😩 I absolutely wouldn’t blame the guy if he told me to stick it.
