  1. Steve had a Vanderklay 212 for sale. I pined for it - but it was so far away. With a bit of jibber jabber we hatched a plan. He wrapped it absolutely perfectly for a courier to collect, liaised with the courier and kept in touch throughout. what a guy. I’m absolutely made up - thank you mate.
  2. Wow. Just wow. Nearly in tears with how “right” this is. Bigger than I expected, which is good… Full rehearsal is a week off though, so full report to follow.
  3. Like that @Cat Burrito and as a Tom Petty fan (there are elements of that) I like the music too. Nicely done.
  4. I would love to have a go - I’ve not got the biggest hands, but seem to manage with huge necks.
  5. Bb414 is the same. I miss my red bb714bs. GAH!
  6. The standards (which are wonderful p/j basses) have wide/flat necks. Like my 62 precision actually. And the specials which are “diet” attitudes with mono output and the woofer pickup are more like the BB424x Owned all of them…sold, stupidly.
  7. Attitudes are based on a 68 telecaster bass. baseball bats.
  8. That sounds like me talking to the wife… (sorry…couldn’t resist…also me talking to my wife…ok, I’ll stop…also also me talking to the wife)
  9. Yeah, I had a lovely 1024x - the 424x has the same profile, as narrow and a bit deeper than the 414. Wide and flat - think the bb300/350/450 might be the way. but they’re not that wide.
  10. This is cool…I keep looking. I know it wouldn’t work out though. The 424x’s are unbelievable as a point,
  11. There’s a spate of these instruments which wouldn’t sell 2 years ago at normal prices at mad levels recently… Squier baritone jazzmasters - advertised at £650-£800 Epiphone Tom Delonge 333 - mad money Hello Kitty Strats - £600+ Mark Hoppus and Tom Delonge fenders - silly money. weird times.
  12. Names or genders for inanimate objects. Hate it. I worked in a shop with a lovely bloke, but he was full of cheesy lines… ”congratulations on your first guitar/bass/trumpet - now you have to name her…” 🤦🏻‍♂️
  13. Bought at the start of the month for a project with a singer - who has now gone AWOL. I’m definitely a bass player by trade and I have used this to record 2 demos and it’s sat in the case since. Absolutely mega sounding guitar and a nice pickup (Fishman) - Simple lines and plays well. Savarez strings, minimal play time. TGI carry case included. Shipping possible but risky I’d guess - would be about £20 in UK.
  14. Ted needed some Yamaha bass parts. I had a bag of them…he paid straight away and is just another example of basschatter perfection. Cheers dude - hope that bass is singing now! Andy x
  15. Thanks - it really is - would love it to find a new home, especially now a 1600 has appeared for sale.
  16. If the 1300 goes…this would be ideal, YOB Yamaha BB1600 😵‍💫
  17. Happy to entertain trades and offers on this. Just send me a message x
  18. One out one in…and one off to the spray shop 🥸
  19. @mikeycrikey I want your red 424x
