Gutted, had heard some great stories from a friend who’d worked for WB records when ZZ Top were with them in the 80’s/90’s - Apparently a very likeable guy. Always admired the ZZT way. Time waits for no Man. 72 isn’t “old” anymore either.

No, this 424/414 world is where I’m at. I do worry that bb450 is unfortunately at risk. And the unfinished 350. I know the white 350 is going to a good home - I’ve sorted that.

Possibly residual compound in the grain from a fret polish? buy a cheap toothbrush and some mineral oil (or lemon oil) and apply liberally - then scrub gently with toothbrush and wipe away with a microfibre Cloth. magic.
