    I had the FX25b (about 3 of them) - I preferred the QTron, but wish I’d kept the last FX25b as a variation on sound - much more “quack” than anything I’ve had. Current MXR Auto Q seems to do a bit of both, so I’ll live.

    Bought a few shandies in. Also bought a bass on the same night and then I’ve gone and bought a preamp pedal, and a pedalboard and looking for an overdrive and tuner pedal… I need to top the pot back up because I have an impending refinish to pay for. Lovely LR baggs Preamp with inbuilt tuner. Solid top, brand new Elixir strings just on it, and some spares in the included padded bag which are just standard 80/20 bronze. Shipping will be risky. I’d prefer collection or a ‘man and van’ collection which would be £50 in UK. They’re £450 new, the chap I got this from had had it a month and couldn’t get his head around the deep sound and stretch of the neck compared to his standard guitar. As a bass player…it’s a doddle to get around on.     Having a nightmare getting an old bass back… it’s in South Wales, guy won’t trust couriers… my man and van can’t do it. really stuck. It’s a 4 hour drive for me each way. is anyone near who would be amenable to collect - and wait for a courier to collect? happy to ship boxes etc and packing materials. I just can’t drag the kids out for 8 hours in the car without a week long holiday being involved…

    Just sat messaging @bagsieblue welling up, some amazing stories. “Kermit” the bright metallic green Ford Ka, covered in bird poop. And the subsequent revolving door of Mini’s - had nowt but trouble with them, but kept on buying them! Nearly bought mine actually 😂 Our last deal was a few months ago - he came to my rehearsal space, the sat nav took him to a separate car park…he was rarely late. Phone rings… ”Andy. Martin…er…anybody home?” He really was a bloody great bloke. The world is going to be a bit less fun. Mrs T has just relayed a story - he was finishing his shift one evening and popped by Iris’ ward - “hiya Mrs T, do you need anything from the shop before I get off” - just a brilliant person. He didn’t have to do that. Humpf. Really sad.
