  1. Lemon oil. Apply, leave to soak for a Couple of minutes - should do fine.
  2. Waited to see the Deftones for a long time, saw them at the Manchester Apollo before Chi Cheng’s accident - they were...erm. Shite. Pure shite. Stoned off their knackers and they’d Obviously had some sort of tiff before hitting the stage. Around a year later I saw Korn at the Apollo...the drummer had had to stay in America with carpel tunnel syndrome, one guitarist had found god and left and the other had broken an arm or Something, so we watched Jonathan Davies and Fieldy with 2 guitar techs and a session drummer...and it was a Valiant effort but very disjointed. Still better than the Deftones gig.
  3. Saw them 3 times. Only paid once. That time was awesome - about 1998/9. The other two times. Nah.
  4. Cool. If it’s not too much bother - fire me over some pics. If I don’t jump on it...I’m sure someone here will.
  5. Between driving around greater Manchester for the eldest daughter and the wife disappearing for 3 hours shopping...I haven’t had chance yet. Need an hour to myself to do it right, once, not trial and error it. Hate soldering...hate electronics. But as I’m off the sauce, the time I’d normally spend necking wine or something - I’ll spend some time this evening on it.
  6. I’ve seen them about 6/7 times - this was the only time I thought “they’re crap”. Saw them twice more since this and they made up for it.
  7. James Brown/Red Hot Chili Peppers at the City Of Manchester Stadium. Apparently a support act called “chicks on speed” were booed and bottled off stage. James Brown was god awful - which didn’t help matters and then John Frusciante came on stage and “told off” 20,000 fans. He got booed. The set was downhill after that.
  8. @Cosmo Valdemar @Highfox @neepheid
  9. No. They’re perfectly serviceable. If you’re adjusting the bridge height - make sure the tension is off the strings and that you use an appropriate flat head (wide) screwdriver. I changed mine because a Babicz became available and I liked it.
  10. They don’t come up often - and are well thought of due to the Tony Kanal connection. They’re often listed as BB-X in Japan (think there’s a slight variation on VVT Bs VTSwitch. I’d say between £500 and £800. Happy to be wrong. One in Wine Red sold on here for £450 about 5 years ago. So I’m about right. I got offered a lovely 1600 for about £800 a year ago and all that stopped me was that it was in San Francisco and the import duty would’ve been massive. it was a later model in a metallic blue/green.
  11. Yeah that’s fab - the version of “save me” is a beauty. I love the AIC unplugged. Much prefer it to the Nirvana and Pearl Jam ones.
  12. Well...I know where it is, and you know where to find me hahaha
  13. Let me know how you get on. if it’s goosed - let me know etc, wanted a project 😊
  14. I’ve messaged the seller. It’d cost the same in fuel for me to go and get it. Offered to have it collected by a courier and she’s said “someone’s just messaged to say they’ll collect tomorrow...” 🤨😔
  15. Damn. Would love another - looks like it’s been fretted too. FFS not close at all.
  16. Ah Tom - get well soon. wish I was more flush, I’d buy it as it looks really lovely and as mentioned a great weight etc.
  17. I owned the 1024 - mega special bass. the 414 won for me - but I’m clueless as my entire basschat history will prove. Was tempted by the 414 (obviously idiot move) - still hoping @marleaux62 is selling the bb1300 at some point - the more I ask, the more he says no 😂
  18. No it’s based on a 6 string neck 😆😉
