The 424 has a bit less warmth, a bit more of a hollowed out sound… maybe that’s what I preferred when I had a 1024x and kept the 414. they look mega in white.

A 1600 is definitely the only bb I’m after now - the 3000/neck through ones I’ve played haven’t knocked me out. I really like the 424 on both pickups or bridge only.

Well…the single “Diamond Ring” is the highlight…the cover of “Bad” not so much…

My tinnitus basically makes my world have 60 Cycle hum…so, everything sounds “noiseless” to me 🥴

It is very MJ, but has a bit of a dirty loops feel going on - with a bit less jazz about it. very lovely - if only I could find a band/singer like that so I could make a really bad job of the bass parts.

I keep looking at Vanderklay Spartan’s…thinking it’d be an expensive experiment 😂 The EBS has been a revelation for me, lovely thing - great when twinned with the Proline 410 - but my spine couldn’t manage it.

Yeah, it’s like a bottomless pit for volume - warmth and clarity in buckets. just listening back to rehearsal from last night and while the sound in the room itself was odd, the playback is the best sound I’ve had in years. Typically - a passive bass straight into a nice amp…no pedals or gadgets in between. No criticism for people who do that - but with an FX heavy guitarist, this seems to work - plus the less complicated it is for me - the better 😂🥴
