  1. How come pretty much everyone knew this would happen apart from my old mate Rog?
  2. I’d save that. Decent little guitars
  3. Full report when I do the clean up/restring etc
  4. Nope that’s fine mate - seems there’s been a thread here before. I might end up buying it. Will see.
  5. A mate has just sent me this...“I’ve come into possession of a Egypt Luxor Nefertiti bass. They were hand made by a luthier in Scotland in the early 80’s. Apparently to the right person they’re desirable but I can’t find any sort of price info on them. Have you heard of them?” I haven’t heard of them before - there is a website. but wondering if anyone has an idea of value. Looks cool - dated, but the headstock put me in mind of Ashley Pangborn basses...
  6. https://www.owenelectronics.co.uk/
  7. I remember listening to that Bass solo on the Kill Em All album when I was about 13/14 and just being in awe. Cue me nicking my brothers Digitech Death Metal pedal and Vox wah (which used to pick up radio waves 😂) I think Orion is Cliff Burton’s towering achievement. I absolutely adored Jason Newsted too. After Garage Inc and S&M I was done with them - Maybe “I disappear” from Mission:Impossible OST was the end.
  8. Wouldn’t mind a roadie 2 again...like this
  9. Same as the bb1600 but Japanese domestic model (I think) had VVT rather than VT switch
  10. OHHHH FFS. Absolutely stunning. I’m exactly £998 short. This looks amazing
  11. Damn. Wish these were 4’s. Played a few SRX basses and these are cool.
  12. I had one of those - they appear regularly with about 4 or 5 different brand names on. I’d say the pickguard is non original and replaced the factory one - mine was brittle and cracked so I presume this was commonplace
  13. Mr Sadowsky confirmed that labella made their nickels, but for whatever reason would never say who made his steels and apparently they were different factories. Might have to start trying different companies again, had just got used to them so I can learn again. Tried some Ernie Ball steels and they were ok, a bit rough at first.
  14. Ah poo. Need to figure out who made their blue steels then. FFS. Bought 4 sets, should’ve bought 12
  15. I buy my strings from them because they stock Sadowsky strings - they always arrive within a couple of days. And they’re cheaper than buying from Thomann (even before B-sit.) Haven’t bought anything else from them though.
  16. I listened to St.Anger again the other day. I need to stop trying with that album. Jesus.
  17. I came from eBay to look at the notifications on here 😂
  18. I think I’ll keep this 3/4 years, sell and upgrade - if I use it enough. Although I’d promised myself a logic setup with enough ins for a live recording setup when I’ve done the garage conversion.
