    Haha, to be fair 3 of them came to a gig and were very gracious - they’re not big on the finer points of funk rock, but they’re decent blokes. very much “my mate played the drums when we were kids” kind of conversation. After that, I tried to keep myself abreast of transfer gossip and results from the previous weekend etc.

    Yeah, I’m not into football really, I was competent enough to be on the school team, but I really have never had much interest in it. My lad is well into it and the other football parents (mainly the dads) treat me like a leper when I can’t discuss the inner workings of premier league teams and the failings of various managers etc. it is a “eurgh, what’s WRONG with you?!” Kind of reaction.

    Got this from @Cuzzie it’s a gnats too small for my Vanderklay (as we suspected it might be) I’ve showed rushed measurements - but he had it on his BF Supertwin, so it’s all academic really. it fits Supertwins 😂 Anyhow, it’s a bit creased from being posted…but will sort itself once on your cab. My loss - your gain. off to order a Vanderklay cover.

    Don’t know if this was a thing where various BC members are - but right around the time I was booted out of Cubs, we used to say “ah mate, get yourself a chufty badge” when someone was showing off… ”ah look, David’s got the United kit…chufty badge for him…” I want a BC Chufty badge.

    It reminds me of my very short time in Cubs (I was kicked out). ”MAM, AV JUST GOT A ‘MAKING TOAST’ BADGE, CAN YER SEW IT ON ME JUMPOH?” Ah well. I had some snarky comment to make, but I can’t be bothered. I want actual badges in an envelope so I can sew them on my jumper…or strap. People will know I’m cool then.
