It was one of a handful made for Frankfurt Musikmesse 2005, based on Sting’s 56/57 bass - the tale with is that Bernard himself took one, mine was on the trade stand…and there were a couple in the US. Sold it to @Beedster who moved it on eventually. It was lovely.

I had a fender CS 1955 in a similar version was actually battered 😂

Yup. Never understood it. Always liked U2. Maybe not more recent stuff, but I really enjoy their early stuff. I think the free album turning up on Apple devices was sort of their “Napster” moment 😂 And Bono seems to press people’s buttons… But musically, I enjoy them.

Think that’s the burst making it look that way but the 350 and 450 have a slightly deeper treble cutaway - maybe 3/4 of an inch.

Just before the 1300 leaves for @briansbrew and while the bb450 awaits a new nut…and the 350 awaits pretty much all the stuff to stop it looking like a tramps tea…

Well…this is here. Some stuff to sort… overall, it has potential.

I’d say…(puts on fender/Gibson hat) Indonesian reissues of; BB3000 - with a good neck through, passive 5000 with modern spacing. BB1600 - a Tony Kanal sig? BB2000? BB1200? Reissue the basses which are the iconic ones - like the BBPH was sort of a 1200s reissue (albeit a bit off). Dunno. I might be well off. But a neck through bb at £1000 p/j in some funky colours would be ace.

The Sadowsky and Jack Casady have gone too…

Gawd… so BB424x - Sunburst BB424x - White BB1300 - Blue BB450 - Sunburst BB350 - currently awaiting paint Hmm. Have I missed some out? I’ve no clue. I absolutely find my bass fetishism pathetic 😂

Mick has just bought my Jack Casady in Pelham Blue. Faultless throughout, confused the hell out of the man and van courier who’d done the reverse trip with the Yamaha last month. Anyhow. Enjoy x
