  1. Haha...like a one night stand with the ex...😆
  2. I reckon we’ll have to duel it out on the moors when that time comes.
  3. I did message him earlier but he’s working. Would’ve saved the heartache of posting hahah
  4. On hold - Knew @walshy wouldn’t say no. Not that I’ve teased him for 14 months with it...
  5. God knows this is just...yeah. Well, needs must (might) and some building work needs paying - the chap in question was very courteous when I offered to pay him “in kind” but declined... Anyhow, one of (if not the) last Japan Metro HPJ’s in the UK. It’s a doll, weight is a lovely shade under 9lbs. Dark lake placid blue with a morado fingerboard, alder body. comes in lightweight sadowsky case. 2 tiny impressions on treble horn and I’ve spotted a little scratch on the rear near the strap button. otherwise, perfect. wearing an NYC pearloid pickguard sent by Rog himself during the first lockdown...cost an inordinate amount for what it is... Also has the original mint green which is...well, green. I don’t want to trade as I need to have funds. I will pack for shipping but you’d have to do insured and cover the cost. Sounds awesome, feels superb.
  6. Or if I had a sadowsky pre pedal in Front of the bb...
  7. Well, it’s messed with and to be fair - it’s seen off more expensive BB’s and even gets picked over a sadowsky for most stuff...and it’s only “worth” about £200 at a push.
  8. never say never...but...this one. Everything else, it seems...has a price
  9. Yeah. I’m at that critical mass of bills vs gear and I’m not going to be playing much guitar now the band is back up and running
  10. Bought to record when I couldn’t access the band. That seems to be resolved so... decent HSS guitar, covers all sounds, plays well. Changed the Pickguard and knobs. Originals included. In really decent nick - couple of minor dings but no big chips etc.
  11. Love how this sounds, love everything about it but I’ve been let down on storage at rehearsal space so I realistically can’t keep lugging in about - my back won’t stand for much and I’m not doing anything big enough these days to justify the power handling. I would love to swap for an Ashdown RM414t if anyone wants the EBS goodness. Need a 4ohm Cab to replace so will entertain any trades. it’s in decent cosmetic condition, the corners are a bit scuffed as is the badge - I have a new badge for it sent from EBS. Never got round to fitting it. Collection only, I can’t risk my back at the moment - it’s manageable as a one man lift, but it only takes one twinge and I’m out 😩 Configuration 4x 10" + 2" Frequency Response 70 - 18k Hz Sensitivity 102 dB Power Rating 800 W RMS Impedance 4 ohms Volume 116 liters Height 69 cm / 27" Width 58 cm / 23" Depth 44 cm / 17" Weight 36.1 kg / 77.4 lbs
  12. Possibly teisco or similar. Old 60’s cheapo. Looks cool
  13. Didn’t get that far. 1. Check wallet 2. Check location of desired item... 3. Who do I know near location of item of postage isn’t an option... 4. What day do I sort delivery so Jen is at work... I fell at the first hurdle this time.,,
  14. Makes me miss 2 basses in one. My Sadowsky RV4 in 59 Burst and my old Lull V5 Gutted I’m currently skint.
  15. If I actually plugged my rig in I dare say the neighbourhood watch team would flip...
  16. Sounds like root/5th code might be more suitable at the moment - but I’ve put a note on the community page to say “keep it up - sounds great” as I know I needed encouragement when I got started.
  17. Sat in the garden and can hear someone plodding through bass exercises, they’ve been at it for a good hour - more than I’ve practiced for months. Fair play, I remember how exciting that first voyage of discovery into bass was. I need to play more. So that’s definitely a 4th bass player I know of on our estate. Lovely to hear that familiar thump.
  18. Maybe it’s time for me to learn leftie 😟
