  1. Must’ve been told to remove them...haven’t cleared up their Google ads yet though 😉
  2. The 2024 had a lot of clever bits going on with the body join etc, more expensive to make. Too expensive probably - especially with the 1024 at about £600/£700 I suppose the p34 sits between 1024/2024 in real terms.
  3. My SB-1000 had a dead pickup. I found an MB sized aria pickup from a “laser” model aria and had it fitted. Had exposed polepieces in a P configuration. I much preferred my SB-700 - it sounded like the setting I used the most on the 1000. God damn it. That 700...
  4. Ratuia replacement pickup is a fair idea too - he makes all sorts and you won’t have to modify the body.
  5. I wouldn’t personally. the preamp is a reversible mod. The pickup routing is not. Find a more battered aria for that. You've made me cry about my sb700. 😞
  6. I just added a Babicz FCH-3 to a Jack Casady - the difference was massive. I have added badass 2 bridges to lots of fender basses and found there to be some difference, but how much of that was down to larger footprint of contact or added mass - I don’t know. I do think they look loads better than a bbot if nothing else.
  7. Not many knocking about in ebony. Nice Bass.
  8. £300 is top dollar - and it’s been messed with.
  9. Can’t mate. It got close...some other things won.
  10. That is cool. Chronos from Venom had a Jazz Bass like this in about 1997. That little riff with the high note is a real ear worm.
  11. Wow. They weren’t even that much new.
  12. A nice red 424x came up locally on Facebook. £300. Undoubtedly worth £300 but I’d be happier at £250 (or less). Messaged the seller “any wiggle room on price?” - “no, that’s the price - it’s been dropped massively...” No deal. 🙄

  14. Well - if the OP will post - you go for it. I have a 414 already x
  15. I enjoyed that project, used it for 3 gigs with a soul singer. It was a gear4music jobbie. Had a mate who worked in their stockroom. it had a faulty machine head and was returned: I paid £60 for it, £10 for the wood and glue, a machine head was in my parts draw. I sold it for £150, with a clean conscience - was a great bass, plugged in was warm and clear - and the volume was acceptable for unplugged practice.
