  1. Here’s a quirk. I put a fresh battery in... look at this An “A” etched into the backplate.
  2. He’s really handy - particularly if you love Japanese gear. Absolutely spot on guy. And it was packed well enough to survive a fall from an aeroplane. Heads up guys - he’s called Denis and he’s absolutely sound. https://reverb.com/shop/denniss-gear-bazaar-167?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=shop&utm_content=929219

    After TWENTY years...
  4. As a point, the new rug irks me. but...I let her get the rug to soften the new Bass arrival...
  5. It’s top quality - like the Godlyke I sold to @bassfan (they’re deffo from the same factory - Deviser/Bacchus) playability is great too now the mange is off it... it’s had a life though - for sure. Swirly 🙄 One of the switches may need cleaning out as a bit intermittent. But it’s magic. May tweak the setup as I did it all in haste.
  6. Done in a massive rush, but knew you’d ask... Tune.m4a
  7. Hmm, I need a buffing wheel. Dirty... Well, it’s been 20 years... And now I’m going to set the bugger up. bit of a klonk on the fingerboard at fret 1. Anyhow, it’s really well put together.
  8. Just home. And I’m going to clean it up. Smells mildly of cigarettes. As an ex smoker...this is a repugnant stench.
  9. Ah that’s nice enough, I absolutely would’ve bought one a few years ago. Then I got an Epiphone NR and although not that close in construction or sound to a T-Bird, the body shape absolutely did not work for me. So, I’ll just admire it.
  10. Im in work. Will have to wait
  11. The eagle has landed...
  12. Not sultan today, it’s Stuart
  13. Think Multi Lam necks are cool - and I’d certainly associate them with earlier BB models. I think a good 1 piece neck is still better than a not so good laminate...I know it was a common feature on Jaydee basses, but I had a supernatural and I couldn’t get it to settle... And I’ve seen a few basses with twists/warps where the wood hasn’t been seasoned or done right with laminate necks. Yamaha obviously seem to get it right. I would like a 424x in red, or white - even black would be ok. I keep an eye out,
  14. I really can’t remember the truss rod now, long time since I had the 425. the 45 degree through body stringing and laminated neck were the differences.
  15. Well...it’s on the home stretch...
  16. I’ve wee’d a bit under less than half a Wal for £3k what? Hahah. stingrays in my head are a £1000 bass. A precision should be about £800 anyhow, what do I know...
  17. £8000 (just a thing I’m saying to all price predictions tonight)
  18. Ah yeah, that. Hahah. I forget
  19. Mrs Travis is a gooden. She chuckles and rolls her eyes when a new one comes in. But she doesn’t care, really. Then something goes wrong with the house or cars, she worries - I sell a bass and sort it...the. I’m a hero. And a month later - I get another bass. I am a hero.
  20. I loved my 1024, but it was like a smoother sounding 414 - then I just preferred the 414, and could get that same sound by backing off the tone control a midge. So...🤷🏻‍♂️
  21. I couldn’t fetch £750 for my 2eq, and it was bloody pristine. Ah well.
