  1. I think this is one of the Korean “Tune guitar technology” models, it has Japanese Gotoh hardware,
  2. I’ve found one!!! In Russia. DAMN! Still, my Drummer is Lithuanian and speaks fluent Russian, so is trying to set up a deal. Will update as I go!
  3. Is that the emerald blue colour, like a teal turquoise? Belting in the flesh.
  4. I owned an 83 Japanese Squier I would happily put on a par (at least) with other Fenders I’ve owned which cost more than a grand. Miss that bass - and I know where it is 🤨
  5. Haven’t taken into account the added plate in the Babicz
  6. Nigel just had a Spector from me, absolutely brilliant throughout and nice to know this bass has gone to another loving home. Enjoy it mate. X
  7. Hmm. Not sure how to reply to that 🤷🏻‍♂️ Merry Christmas?
  8. Oh it’s a black pickup? If you’re interested in selling, let me know x Also, I haven’t actually set the bridge up yet. I’m taking the sadowsky strings off my HPJ which while no longer “bright” enough for the band stuff, are still lovely and fresh, they feel 1000% nicer than the stock Epiphone ones. A bass direct envelope has just arrived with my spanky new ones for the sadowsky so the change can happen. Unfortunately, all the messing about for tomorrow is in my way.
  9. @Cosmo Valdemar obviously a lot more “flush” than the factory one...
  10. So it’s not totally flush to compensate for the curve, and the single (middle) post ferrule is flush.
  11. I think the Hipshot looks amazing, really clean looking. The Babicz is delightful though, offsets all that empty space. do you still have the pickup? I fancy a gold 2pu version 🥸
  12. Going to try these too. Coming from a mate. They do the same as the Casady ones in this darker amber...but will see if the colour works better.
  13. A Casady or a set of luggage scales 😂
  14. 8.1lbs. So...it was probably about 7.5 before hand.
  15. Well it’s now about 9lbs. Will weigh it now.
  16. Only way close without a pick is to have slightly longer nails on your index and middle...but the idea of that technique for a prolonged period sets my teeth on edge. as BRX says, it’s not a “solvable with eq” situation. I suppose if you had a compressor or Hard limiter on in the chain, you could get the hard stop...but you’d have a really odd bass sound - the thing with Lounge Act (my favourite Nirvana bass part) is that it’s the dirt/grit and plumminess of the Gibson bass through an SVT - I’d say try to master it with a pick...it’s a bit of a finger twister initially so if you’ve come this far...
