  1. Hmm. Not sure how to reply to that 🤷🏻‍♂️ Merry Christmas?
  2. Oh it’s a black pickup? If you’re interested in selling, let me know x Also, I haven’t actually set the bridge up yet. I’m taking the sadowsky strings off my HPJ which while no longer “bright” enough for the band stuff, are still lovely and fresh, they feel 1000% nicer than the stock Epiphone ones. A bass direct envelope has just arrived with my spanky new ones for the sadowsky so the change can happen. Unfortunately, all the messing about for tomorrow is in my way.
  3. @Cosmo Valdemar obviously a lot more “flush” than the factory one...
  4. So it’s not totally flush to compensate for the curve, and the single (middle) post ferrule is flush.
  5. I think the Hipshot looks amazing, really clean looking. The Babicz is delightful though, offsets all that empty space. do you still have the pickup? I fancy a gold 2pu version 🥸
  6. I think B&M for about £5
  7. Going to try these too. Coming from a mate. They do the same as the Casady ones in this darker amber...but will see if the colour works better.
  8. A Casady or a set of luggage scales 😂
  9. Aww...festive 😂
  10. 8.1lbs. So...it was probably about 7.5 before hand.
  11. Well it’s now about 9lbs. Will weigh it now.
  12. The Babicz FCH-3
  13. This bridge resolves it 👍🏼
  14. Only way close without a pick is to have slightly longer nails on your index and middle...but the idea of that technique for a prolonged period sets my teeth on edge. as BRX says, it’s not a “solvable with eq” situation. I suppose if you had a compressor or Hard limiter on in the chain, you could get the hard stop...but you’d have a really odd bass sound - the thing with Lounge Act (my favourite Nirvana bass part) is that it’s the dirt/grit and plumminess of the Gibson bass through an SVT - I’d say try to master it with a pick...it’s a bit of a finger twister initially so if you’ve come this far...
  15. Sorry 😆
  16. It’s a discontinued urban double bag. I’ve had a couple over the years...this one has had a much easier life so has lasted 6 or so years and still looks new.
  17. It fits in my Fender Urban bag. Just.
  18. I always liked the idea of being able to totally fine tune the set up. I’ve only had one bass with one of these, and I set it once and left it. So I suppose if you stick to the same strings etc, a decent setup by a pro luthier would be a more sensible option than hacking the old nut out... they are available in appropriate colour/size now though...
  19. Do you find the Finish changes from deep turquoise to denim blue and then like a metallic Grey in different lights? Tempted by a red in the new year - if I bump into one...
  20. I was torn - love how the Hipshot looks - but love the proportions of the Babicz
  21. It came with a machined “shim” so it basically sits on top of the ferrules In full contact.
  22. Yeah, acoustically louder, more depth to sound - more robust. need to do a full set up when new strings arrive. also, weighs about 4 times more than standard 3 point, so alleviates the neck dive issue these basses are known for.
  23. Magic.
