  1. Or heavy “Herbie” relic, no matching headstock
  2. The flea/60’s bodies don’t have truss access either - so it’s bob on 😉
  3. Well...google Yamato and lots of Zenta looking things (mainly guitars) and there are lots of hallmarks and features which match up. Lots of crossover and distributor branded instruments made by the same factory. So...not a Yamaha, maybe a lesser spotted Yamato/Zenta crossover.
  4. Yamato...doesn’t seem exactly like the picture. Will keep looking.
  5. Hmm. Yamano seems to be a shop/distributor in Japan...
  6. They look like the perfect crossover of the eko and the Ibanez/Antoria. Looks like a winner. Zenta basses often turn up with various brands...was “yamano” one of them, rather than Yamaha....I’m off to google.
  7. Yamaha SB-35 is the only remotely SG shaped bass Yamaha have done...doesn’t seem to fit?
  8. @Dad3353 think that was an Eko?
  9. Ibanez (pretty much the same as Antoria)
  10. Avon Sg? Antoria SG? Ibanez SG? Not a mega clear photo - if it’s Japanese/Korean in origin, @Bassassin will be able to ID it.
  11. @Eldon Tyrell beat me to it 2015. Miss mine. Nice feeling basses.
  12. The Chinese ones were made by Farida/Grand Reward - same as the Fender Modern Player series. The newer ones are made by Cort.
  13. I’m pretty good for gear really. but I’d say a WAL mk1 4 string in some sort of blue burst. But I’d love a maple board. Amp wise - I’d love a new ABM head and 2 410’s.
  14. @bassfan will match the new miller
  15. @Quilly very nice, my mate runs a shop and had a used black one in last year. Should’ve jumped on it at £180
  16. Lovely. 1999 is correct as it wasn’t in production in 89/09.
  17. Think the original white/parchment looks best too. Classy looking bass. Great price too - worryingly local to me too. Just checked the wallet though and thruppence h’apenny won’t do it.
  18. Charcoal Frost Metallic that - absolutely ace colour.
  19. I dunno, I’ve played 100’s of classic vibes - used to sell 3 or 4 a week. They’re consistent, but the hardware (machineheads) let them down. I’ve owned and played 80’s Jap Squiers - I’m still trying to buy one back (sold when going through a messy separation, not because I wanted to) and done set ups and restrings on a fair few of the 90’s ones. Great workhorse basses - bit more solid feeling than the CV’s. If the OP has spotted this one, it’s ticked his fancy and he gets it for a good price - I wouldn’t dissuade him or push him to something else. And that Red Stripe sticker adds value 😂😉
  20. Welcome. Get a nice tort on that, sort of budget Pino.
  21. Early 90’s Jap Squiers vary - but are on the up. £300-£450 depending on condition. About £350 is good money
  22. Looks legit. Wouldn’t fake that model - you’d fake an early 80’s JV if you were faking a squier.
