This was it on eBay last time... Long shot - do any of the Spectorphiles on here know of an SSD NS-94 with LED’s in the fingerboard. It was on eBay a good few years ago, but in about 2000/01 it was mine and I always wanted it back. This isn’t it - but it looked very similar.

I had an NS-94 like this with LED’s many moons ago and have been looking for a Spector for a good while now

No sold the status to sort wife’s car which we’re limping across the finish line until we sort a new one (to cater for Iris’ Wheelchairs etc) in jan/feb. Should've changed it 2 years ago, but when we realised Iris would be a wheelchair user, we elected to hold on until we knew where we stood on motability etc. Sold a non functioning (albeit still fairly posh) watch and an Ashdown rig to fund the Spector.

Omega geneve - about 35/40 years old. Have got one which belonged to my grandad in my safe, gets serviced etc - wore it for his and Grandmas funerals, wedding day, brother wore on his wedding day... This one was a cheeky bid on eBay About 3 years ago but wouldn’t hold time and I meant to sort - but didn’t get Round to it and he fancied it. Too nice for work, so I didn’t need it. Wear older Seiko 5’s and a couple of Swiss rotary’s for work. I made on the deal as the prices are creeping so he still got a good deal.

Genuinely thought I was turning up to look at an overpriced legend...so I was absolutely buzzing. The natural one they’d had previously was more than a fair bit worn...

My drummer is mega excited - he toured Germany with a guy who was an endorsing artist for EBS about 5/6 years ago “I furkin lurve dat ebs click when der’z slapping”

Sold my Status in a mad panic as the Mrs’ car is making funny noises. It’d been a close second to my sadowsky and I bought it in a mad rush because it was drop dead gorgeous and local... Anyhow, I wanted to have funds in just in case it’s not a simple fix. It’s booked in for the weekend so should be sorted fairly cheaply. Yesterday I Sold a (non working) vintage watch to a man across the street (he mentioned in passing he liked watches the other week and sent him pics and entered into negotiations). I had sorted my amp situation so wanted to move my Ashdown rig on. Got a mailshot from Local PMT the other week that they were doing a sale on “pre loved” gear in store. Messaged them to see if they still had a natural Spector LX i’d spotted last month in stock. ”It’s still here, but it’s red, not natural...” I went down to see what they were on about. Love at first sight is nonsense...NOT. Jeez. Agreed on price, and then did the “Ive got a p/x can you look at it...” the guy at PMT I’ve known for years (probably 20+) and he’s the manager, great bloke. Did a decent P/X value. And for the price of the watch and a bit more...I was leaving without my old amp and owning a Euro LX.

Held off for a while on this, had to wait for some bits to arrive. So I’ve used Ashdown exclusively for years, probably since about 2009 - previously I’d used Trace Elliot and then SWR. I still love Ashdown, think they’re a great company and make some unbelievable stuff. Literally just fancied a change. Initially started looking for a 410 - I Miss that air that a big fat deep cab moves. I found @bigthumb was selling an EBS proline 410 and as he’s local, jumped at it. Then I set about looking for a head. I always fancied a fafner II or TD650 as they look brilliant. The fact that I don’t have huge amounts of cash was a deciding factor...but there was loads of conflicting opinions on the 650 vs the 350 ve the Reidmar. Cue a discussion with resident expert @EBS_freak who was really gracious and helpful. He reminded me that @Dood was selling a Reidmar 750. A day or so later...here we are. Very, Very (VERY) loud. Super clean - but will investigate the settings more at rehearsal as my neighbours are all poorly with Covid19 and I don’t want to disturb them too much. Enjoying it so far.

Love that album. Went to see her a while ago and she came on stage and announced she wouldn’t “doing any of that old sh*t”. So i listened to 4 songs, and went to a nearby pub instead.

Just received an EBS Reidmar from Dood. it was here in about 18 hours from the first message being sent. beautiful work. Thank you x

Yeah for years. We were always fine - have tried to involve him in projects since our old band broke up. But he’s lost the passion a bit.

We recently advertised for a guitarist and singer. We didn’t specify a gender/age, but made clear mention that we were in our mid-late 30’s and had family commitments to consider. We had a few younger applicants who were obviously interested but realised that We wouldn’t be sat in the back of a transit up and down the m6 drinking beer and partying til all hours. Eventually got people in a similar age range and it turned out to be 2 blokes. We had a couple of women get in touch and send demos, but they didn’t come back with anything after the initial interest.

Could’ve been an off day, I’m sure. Had heard that was the consensus on VM though.
