  1. I had two. They are superb basses. My pink one ended up with an EMG P/J set - but I preferred the original passive black one. really lovely feeing necks - wider than a Jazz, but really flat.
  2. I get the splinters out of my backside with tweezers 😉😂 I didn’t feel the need to attack him and I honestly do admire anyone who can make a living off doing what they love.
  3. Now then... I wanted to see this but resisted. Looks ace
  4. Played it tonight. No chance. Sorry for any interested parties. Too good.
  5. I think he’s an unbelievable player, he’s fantastic at what he does and I love that he’s obviously hugely successful. I’m full of admiration for him. The “oh, and one more thing I forgot...” type e-mails nark me a bit. And I get plenty. It’s very much the nature of the beast - he’s an online marketeer. It doesn’t work on me...but I get that it’s how his operation works. He’s sort of become the latter day Clarkson era Top Gear of online bass tuition. It’s for the masses and people buy into it big time - he’s successful and people grow to resent the ubiquitousness of it all. Others adore it. “Like sh*t in a field” As my grandad used to say. More power to him. Wish I’d thought of it first - as well as Wishing I’d learned to be more theoretically minded rather than my “hit it and see what comes out” method of playing. I signed up for a free trial and didn’t look at it - I think it was for a competition entry. I reckon he’s probably a really sound bloke, and I bet I’d find his website useful. But I’m not drawn to it. He doesn’t offend me, and I should just block his spam. He’s good at what he does, a very slick operator. Not for me though.
  6. Yeah - I was too when I sobered up. Still - I agree with my logic at the time. See if anyone wants the ultimate miller without the headaches I went through to get it to where it is.
  7. The pickguard is bang on really - just the battery compartment isn’t 100% flush. The black Original one will come with The bass.
  8. I found the 55 we shared at one point sounded like neck pickup of a Jazz

  20. If it’s of any interest...the original “guitarist audition” piece - live in a room. Single Rode M1 - needed another really, but does a fair job at high SPL - drummer is louder than a jumbo jet. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1CbEpWb-ax4unl9dipC9JsRlMCPCZhdnj/view?usp=drivesdk
  21. Nope. Sorry guys. Maybe @Bassassin would have a clue?
  22. Sometimes financial ineptitude. Sometimes for different gear. Mainly because it’s only stuff...and newer stuff is exciting-er. But I’m looking at the current crop...I want a new car, so I’m thinking something might go to clear the decks financially and just be happy with my Orange BB.
  23. Yeah, he’s a nice bloke - hope it works out.
