  1. Hiya - just sat looking at the receipts from Christmas purchases, and the plans for home improvement in 2021... I have gone a bit mad since the initial lockdown, so as I’ve just bought a new bass and have 2 other p/j’s, thought I’d see what the interest would be in this beautiful thing. it’s 9lbs, sounds brilliant and has a 35 scale, it has EMG pickups, maple/walnut/alder (?) body wings. And the non trim tonepump pre. A couple of small dinks on the rear of the body, but is in great nick overall. It has no case/bag - it came with something I’d describe as a “firewood” case which was so scruffy, I binned it. I could source something for shipping I suppose. the 35” scale doesn’t feel odd, I suppose I’m used to fender sized bodies so with the smaller NS body, it all balances out.
  2. Yeah. They could do one. They have a habit of almost getting it right...but not quite.
  3. Even better 😍
  4. @Reggaebass is that the refinished roadworn P?
  5. I had one. It was really decent. Don’t think I paid a huge amount either. Pretty sure they were developed with DBX

  11. TBX or maybe a bass/treble circuit. It was announced at the same Namm as Geddy Jazz, Miller Jazz and Duck Dunn P.
  12. I can’t. The above image is roughly the entire of Google’sworth...

  17. WP is a great bass player generally - and I love his overall style. He’s a nice guy, I met him at the bass day - gutted I didn’t get a pic, but I got his autograph on a DVD.
  18. @Merton story of my life.,,
  19. I adore those
  20. Ah, yeah at £999, a well Made jazz...
  21. I tried a sunburst one a while ago. Was neither bowled over nor disgusted by it...think it was about £1400 so it was a bit expensive for “meh”.
  22. I generally used what I use on electrics...40-100 d’addario XL nickels. it’s been a while though. Added some photos I’ve found
  23. I have owned about 10 acoustic basses over the years. The best were Guild B30e from the 1990’s it was absolutely stunning and loud. But they’re rare and not cheap. A Tacoma Thunder Chief was the original intended purchase but it arrived smashed...(cheers TNT) - even broken, I could tell it would’ve been amazing; easily on a par with the guild. I had a Breedlove 5 string which was nice too. A Sigma was a cheep and cheerful surprise, I’d have another of those if I needed an ABG. I tried loads of strings with ABG’s and found that the phosphor bronze strings were generally crap. I loved the warmth of Thomastik’s - they’re mad expensive and feel a bit rubbery but the sound was beautiful. To mimic an upright, I used roto trubass. I have access to a Fender BG-32 which happens occasionally...
